August 9, 4-7 pm August 9–August 23, 2015 Open hours: Sunday, August 19 and Sunday, August 23, 2-6 pm or by appointment to [email protected] Karolina Gnatowski is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Fiber and Material Studies at The School Of The Art Institute Of Chicago. She received her MFA from SAIC in 2007 and her BFA from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia in 2002. Exhibitions include the Brooklyn Academy Of Music, NY, Monique Meloche Gallery, UIC's Gallery 400, Loyola University Gallery, Chicago, The Franklin, Adult Contemporary, Chicago, DoubleBreak, San Diego California, SideCar, Hammond IN, The Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, Weglowa Gallery, Bialystok, Poland, Northern Illinois University, and Lollapalooza. Notable publications include Studio Life: Rituals, Collections, Tools, and Observations of the Artistic Process by Sarah Trigg and the UIMA "Bauhaus Now" catalog. Her work has been reviewed in the Bialystok Gazeta, Blackbooks, Chicago Art Review, New City Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Artist Writers, and Hyperallergic. Dan Gunn is an artist, writer and educator working in Chicago. He received an MFA in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007. Recent exhibitions include Impromptu Airs a solo exhibition at Monique Meloche Gallery, the New American Paintings Midwest Survey at the Elmhurst Art Museum. He has also shown at Marine Contemporary in Santa Monica, Art Los Angeles Contemporary, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago for the 12 x 12 New Artists: New Work series, Lloyd Dobler Gallery, Columbia College A+D Gallery and the Loyola University Museum of Art. His work has been reviewed in Frieze, Art in America, Artforum.com, Artslant.com, Newcity Magazine, New American Paintings, TimeOut Chicago and the Chicago Tribune.
