okay first off, i can’t say anything in response to infamous allegation of aidairo being shotacons, it’s honestly fair LMAO. but i don’t care that much either way tbh, as long as they’re not viewing real kids in a fucked up way, then i can’t complain. a lot of scholars believe shotacon/lolicon to be largely unrelated to actual pedophilia, and more of just a regular fantasy. so if it’s harmless, then whatevssss
honestly i just have an issue with the first part of the post. having your teen characters make sex jokes like real teens do isn’t the same as portraying them in a sexually appealing way, not even close. it’s just making their personalities realistic lol. teens make sex jokes and are aware of sexuality as a concept, that’s just part of being a teen. get over it :p (the first panel with nene was defo unnecessary though i won’t deny that)
also, those 2 arts with hanako are not referencing child molestation. we still don’t know much about hanako’s backstory at the moment (C'MON AIDAIRO), but as far as we know, he was never sexually abused like that. you can still argue it’s creepy, but misinformation is never cool lol. at least be familiar with the series you’re calling out, that’s the bare minimum imo (and honestly i find it a little uncharitable that when they assume “oh it’s referencing child sexual abuse,” instead of thinking that maybe the author could be working from their own trauma, which is most often the case in illustrations about those topics, they jump to the author being a pedophile. cos let’s be real, that’s what they think. they think aidairo are pedophiles. they wouldn’t make this post if they didn’t. let’s have some compassion and some critical thinking instead of relying on knee-jerk reactions, cos that never gets anyone anywhere.) oh and side note… how on earth is volume 1’s cover suggestive LMAOO
