“I don’t think I can do this anymore!!” You groaned against your hands as you drop your notes and your pen, totallly surrendering from the Calculus lessons that you need to review for Finals. Donghyuk, your best friend/secret crush, just chuckled at your behavior. You two are sitting on the living room against your study table, trying to learn from your Straight A’s friend’s ways on how to survive this mind–breaking subject.
“Come on, Ashley, it is not that hard!” He just brought his hands to poke yours using his pen, trying to go through the small holes between your fingers, the base of the pen hitting your nose, your cheeks, and the side of your eyes.
“Donghyuk!!!” You whined at his silly antics and he just laughed heartily while simultaneously clapping his hands in the process. You wanted to be mad at him, but you know you cannot for too long as soon as you hear that laugh of his. It sounded like good music to your ears, along with the way his eyes turn into slits and his smile that reaches his ears. You kept quiet as you stare at his still laughing form. Donghyuk stopped when he noticed that you are just staring at him so he straightened his seat before grabbing his pen.
“Look, you are ‘almost’ there, okay? You just need to remember the formula! I know it is long but once you memorize it, you can resolve everything!” He suggests and you just roll your eyes at him.
“It is too long, how do you expect me to remember this, Dong?” You put the notebook where he wrote the formula in front of his face and he just shakes his head. He took the notebook away from you and began putting in examples off of the book. He discusses and talks about how it works, while he keeps his gaze on your book. When he is done, he looked at your direction and let out a disappointed laugh.
“Seriously, Ash?” He mumbles but when he hears your quiet snore, he knows that you already fell in deep slumber. Donghyuk sets the books and notebooks aside before scooting closer to your sleeping form. He removes the strands of hair that blocks your beautiful face before smiling dearly.
“Why are you so beautiful, Ashley?” He says as he lightly graze your puffy cheeks using the back of his middle and index finger.
“I really, really like you, Ash. I hope that I can tell that to you soon…. I mean when you are not sleeping!” He laughs silently before he noticed that the sun peeked through the windows and they shone on your face. Your face crunched for a bit, so he blocks the peeking brightness using his hands.
“Have a good sleep, My Sunshine.”
