Hey guys, sorry for the inactivity :( My final year at university has gotten the better of me and unfortunately this means I've struggled to keep up to date with new releases. As part of this im conducting a questionnaire on music promotion and would really really, really, appreciate your responses, it should only take 3 mins and would mean the world to me.

To all those in the same boat of me I wish you good luck and the second this is all over HCM will be back up and running with music to accompany your best summer ever!
I'm love with this new release by Basecamp. It's a cover of none other than Ace Of Base's "All That She Wants" but instead of early 90s cheese you're given a slow burning and sexy track that will have you hooked instantly.

I'm a moron and forgot to link the song when I last posted it. Here it is again... enjoy it!
This offering is from the very promising Zella Day. A visit to her Soundcloud will show only one other track but she’s readying new material to release to the unsuspecting public and “Sweet Ophelia” is the first of hopefully many songs. This solid debut thrives on the rising instrumental that gives Zella the perfect platform to blow you away with her stunning vocals; if the rest of her material is like this then we’re surely looking at a star in the making.
"Sweet Ophelia" releases both digitally and on limited edition 7" clear vinyl on April 7, 2014 via B3SCI Records. Pre-order here
Here's a slice of indie pop perfection from one of our favorite new acts COIN. This is the sound of a band who are destined for big things and you'd be forgiven for assuming that they hadn't already achieved that, "It's Okay" could easily be a smash summer hit.
Show these guys some support by liking their page and in return you can download this track for free. Lovely stuff.
The last track we posted by Boston girl/boy duo MVSCLES was the dreamy "Somethin" which went down a storm. The follow up to that is this delightful number called "Game." The lyrics center around relationship woes and contrasts heavily with the music that couldn't be more upbeat; the playful bassline skips it's way throughout the track before culminating in an almighty crescendo that catches me off guard every time.
Show your support and head over to their Bandcamp to download this track on a pay what you like basis.
Brooklyn's soon to buzzy again act Great Good Fine Ok has just unleashed a monster of a new single in "Not Going Home". This sparking synth-pop hit in the making, has all the right parts to make these guys stars. The falsetto-filled chorus is lightyears above pretty much anything you have heard this year.
While I'm still struggling to escape the spectacular hold of "Out Of My Mind", Tove Lo's crunching new single "Not On Drugs" will surely be my antidote. It's sexy, revealing, and huge. Who has not experienced a complete out of body feeling of love? That's right, you all have.
The Swedish artist has proven already that she is full of hits and 2014 will surely be hers.
Her debut EP, Truth Serum, will be out March 3rd..
Everyone's feel-good remixer RAC is set to release part 1 of his debut album Strangers on March 3rd, and we can now hear it's first offering, "Tear You Down". Featuring the wholesome vocals of recent Golden Globe winner Alex Ebert, the joyous, shining cut is the perfect piece of music to demonstrate the diverse and consistently fun talents of André Allen Anjos.
The full album will be ready on April 1st.
I can't say I know too much about Olsen other than the fact he's a Leeds based producer that appears to specialize in making laid-back electronic music. "Together" is no exception, this collaboration with the Italian vocalist Mark Borgazzi is just so easy to listen to, I can't wait to see what Olsen does next.
Just on the cusp of blowing up, California noir experts Sir Sly add their sensual midnight touch to Drake's "Marvin's Room". As the original already had it's fair share of moodiness, this new rendition adds even more late night insightfulness.
Exroyale's "Give It Up" was a fantastic piece of pop, so the premise of a remix from Ra Ra Riot is obviously one get get excited about and they have not let us down. Whilst the original had hints of an R&B influence, the remix goes in a funkier direction and proves to be just as catchy as the original.
You can even grab the track for free on their website, click here
This track is taken from Darius' Romance EP which is out today. It's streaming in its entirety over on his Soundcloud so if you like this it's well worth a listen. This chilled tune wouldn't sound out of place in material from the Bondax duo which is high praise indeed.
Romance Ep is out on Roche Musique. Buy it here
Real Estate have released a new video in the novel format of a tab-tutorial. The track itself is in a similar vein to 'Talking Backwards'; both the songs speak of hardships in relations and don't stray from their signature strain of affable guitar pop.
It's a tribute to them that their sound can appear so straight-forward, yet as this video shows there is a level of complexity in both the music and the lyrics that gives it appeal that lasts. I'm sure I'm not the only one that keeps coming back to Days and I have the utmost faith that Atlas will be just as good.
Disclosure, Lorde and Aluna Francis combined to meld "Royals" with "White Noise" during the UK's BRIT Awards. Together they were able to give Lorde's track an entirely different feel and in doing so lit the internet on fire. So just in case you haven't seen it yet; enjoy the fantastic set the trio produced, especially the stage show which was totally wasted on the seated crowd.
This number is a decidedly more loud affair that will hopefully kick your weekend into gear. Julio Bashmore is developing a devoted following thanks to his booming and hugely danceable house jams so this collaboration with the always perfect Jessie Ware had me very excited. Truth be told I was hoping for more but there's no denying this will get a dance floor filled, if any of you are throwing a party, this is a must.
I'd also like to add that this video is ridiculous and is worth checking out regardless of the music.
Jungle, the once secretive band, have come out of hiding to sign with XL recordings and announce a European tour. To celebrate they've released this great new jam, whilst it's not my favourite from them so far; it's all I need for me to call these guys my favourite act of 2014. I'm fully in love with them and have no problems jumping on the hype train they've crafted, everyone needs more funk.
Busy Earnin' is due for release in April. Download it from iTunes here.
