Uninstalled Hinge again for the umpteenth time today, but one thing that somehow continues to happen to me as a bisexual woman is straight men questioning why they should care about queer people and politics.

One of the prompts on my profile is something along the lines of "One thing that's non-negotiable for me in a partner is: Being politically involved (in a way that doesn't go against LGBTQ+ rights) to date a member of the LGBTQ+ community." And so many straight men have questioned this in different ways, ranging from more light-hearted curious questions all the way to downright asking why they should be politically involved.
