Hange knows they have to make a choice when Reiner, Bert and Zeke of all people show up but before they can Bert transforms and Moblit saves their life like in canon. (Except titan shifter Hange would have probably survived the blast so... Oops, sorry Moblit?)

The mission ends as a complete failure. Although there's nothing they could have done for Marcel, Hange feels responsible for Annie and Bert being left behind, but Zeke assures them it's better to cut their losses now and get out. He has of course heard from Bert and Reiner about Hange's relationship with Levi and finds it amusing but ultimately meaningless.
Later, after the whole Armin or Erwin debate (he still chose Armin) Levi is taking a walk, feeling numb after loosing all of his friends and the two people he loved the most. His legs take him to where he last saw Hange, and his eyes fall on a familiar object on the ground.
