"I think that's a good idea."
”— so what? We’re just going to stay put?”
"I don't think there's much more we can do right now..."
Merry Christmas Hank! I honestly don’t think there’s any explanation needed for this gift, so yeah. Hope you like it! -Annie
To the Blue and Nerdy,
Figured you could use it. And YES, I’m aware it says its for sweaters and fabric but that’s just a guideline. They’d probably change it if they met you anyway.
And that other thing? Well, I saw you eyeing Scott’s one. So you’re welcome.
I just wanted to see your face when you opened them.
Merry Christmas, Big Blue,
~ Peter
Hank,
I wasn’t quite sure what to get you. So, I hope you like this shirt.
Alice.
Hank, You deserve a medal for putting up with me for all these years and so I got you one. I also know that you love a good glass of milk and so I thought I’d treat you to a bottle of it. Have a wonderful Christmas. Charles.
It’s a math pun printed on a mug! If it cracked at least an inch of a smile on your face then my goal is accomplished. I also bought you a book. I admit at first I wasn’t so sure to give this to you because I was afraid it might offend, but then I thought, better to have something you can turn to if ever you’re feeling insecure about yourself than nothing at all.
Merry Christmas, Hank.
-Jean
"Perhaps you should consider shutting up, Hank."
Hank frowned, taking a step back. "Am I in trouble? H-How do you know my name?"
Scott whined when the toy was taken away from him, before he started sniffing around the boy. Wait… I know him. I KNOW HIM! HANK! Scott started jumping excitedly, wiggling his tail at the boy.
Hank giggled as the puppy started jumping, kneeling down so he was closer to his level. Eyes widening as he head somebody speak, he looked around. Looking back at the dog, he gasped. "You can talk! A talking dog!"
"…It smells really good in ‘ere."
"Oh. Alright. Do you know where we are?"
Alice nodded. “I’ve seen other people around. There’s another boy here. And then there are the adults. I can take you to the phone if you want. I’m not sure it works properly though. ” She smiled. “Nice to meet you, Hank. I’m Alice. ”
"Other people? Do the other people know where we are?" Hank asked. Nodding, he thought for a moment. "We could take a bus. I'd like to try calling my parents. They could probably pick us up. "
"Mister, why are you in the flowers?"
Scott looked up at the new voice, distracted from the chewing he was doing on some Christmas decoration he found. This kid, I’ve seen him, but I don’t him. But I know that smell.
Hank looked down at the dog. "Well you aren't gonna know where I am." He said out loud, picking up the decoration the animal was chewing on. "Sorry...you could choke on this."
"….No, stupid. It’s a maszynka do kawy. No. It’s a—”
"—a… it makes coffee."
"How does it work?"
Alex nodded when the child asked if he time traveled. At least he was asking a lot of yes or no questions, making it easier for Alex not to strain his voice. He even chuckled a bit when the clown was brought up. “Yeah, like the clown,” he replied gruffly. “With feet like those, all you need is a red nose.” He ruffled Hank’s hair to show he was only being playful rather than the meanness he knew the kid was used to.
Hank tapped the screen experimentally, gasping when an app opened up. "Can I keep this?" He needed to find out how it worked more, maybe there was a manual somewhere. At the mention of his mutation, he squirmed a little. "I don't like my feet." He mumbled, looking away from the phone for a split second.
