Hello, I'm Mod Dell, I'm the head (and only as of right now) mod of this confession booth. Take it with a pillar of salt, but you gotta read this silly little intro post and some of the rules of this funky little blog!

THE RULES OF THE LAND

No NSFW asks. We allow a little bit of spicy simping, but just remember, if you go above lime, then you're out. Anything below the belt is frowned upon (Rule 1.5: yes, OP did indeed use the citrus scale, it doesn't matter if it's 2026, it's EFFECTIVE)

I used to make a series of of Squiddly Diddly x Baba Looey fanfics where they go on random adventures together and Quick Draw would follow them in secret and come in as El Kabong if any of them were in danger.

Idk if this is the same for fans of the company's other adaptions, but imo being a fan of the Super Friends franchise really shows you how little Hanna Barbera is respected despite its influence. DC media *loves* to make fun of the Super Friends cartoons, but yet it still uses the Hall of Justice, it still uses the Legion of Doom, it still uses characters like Wendy and Marvin and the Wonder Twins, all of which were created by Hanna Barbera. It drives me up the wall to see Hanna Barbera get mocked by the same people benefiting from what it created.

y'know, i've never really SEEN it a whole lot... I've seen it a few times, and i think it's kinda cute! it's more prominent in the Jellystone! cartoon fandom, but in the classic cartoons I think i've seen some people ship SnagDraw

I'm not a fan of the Turbo Terrific's design in Wacky Races. As a kid it always weirded me out to look at it, and now as an adult who understands The Joke™, I still don't like it.

I wish the banana splits were in jellystone more rather than having two episodes dedicated to them like CMON 💀💀I would’ve loved it if they had more screen time and had more fleegle and el kabong shenanigans/yaoi ….i just miss them a lot…..

I have a crazy theory that Squiddly Diddly actually was a warning as to what would eventually happen with SeaWorld. SeaWorld San Diego opened in 1964, Squiddly Diddly debuted in 1965, Bubbleland is an obvious parody of SeaWorld. Squiddly is genuinely unhappy in Bubbleland and always wants to escape and share his talents. Chief Winchley treats him like shit, like genuinely. He sees Squiddly as a commodity to be sold to the masses, and doesn't care about him unless he can use him for his own personal gain. Obviously Squiddly is a cartoon squid and the slapstick he goes through is nothing compared to the real life abuse inflicted on the orca whales, but the cartoon, despite being a comedy, felt like it was warning us that places like SeaWorld mistreat their animals for entertainment. If only Hanna and Barbera were alive to see Blackfish.... Actually, a lot of the H-B cartoons have social commentary despite being silly and comedic. Wally Gator is the racialized 'other,' who can't fit in to the outside world no matter how hard he tries (honestly this reading could apply to Squiddly too, given the fact that people are always scared of him). Top Cat and his gang live in poverty, and Officer Dibble enforces this. Atom Ant is pure Cold War-era optimism about atomic technology.

I wrote a few Hanna-Barbera fanfics in the past and I lost them but I can tell you what they were about. Tell me what you think.

Yogi and Boo Boo save a fox cub from 2 hunters and they adopt it until hibernation season was over.

Augie has a nightmare and Doggie Daddy comforts him.

Mr Jinks defends Pixie and Dixie from bullies.

Squiddly Diddly and Baba Looey go on a date

Snooper takes Blabber out on a date

Punkin Puss and MushMouse cuddle on the couch and watch TV

Benny, Spooky, Choo Choo, Brain and Fancy Fancy are attacked by a tom cat and his gang and when Top Cat finds out, he teaches the other gang a lesson.
