I think people sometimes have differing opinions about what “shipping” entails… like if I ship characters it’s not that I necessarily think they should have been canon or in a relationship or anything, it’s just that I think their dynamic is interesting to explore and I also want to see them kiss a lil

Fandom culture veering into this incessant need to have every little delusion and fantasy confirmed by canon is really what's made "shipping culture" so insufferable. The whole point of shipping is you can literally do whatever you want and explore the dynamics outside of canon. That's the point! You don't need the source material to breastfeed you anything confirming your theories and headcanons. You just need an imagination and an ability to enjoy shit without becoming an insufferable, mushbrained pissbaby when canon doesn't tell you all your delusions are real.

Campaign for Oliver Starks Birthday!!

BARK BOTHERED AND BEWILDERED

Welcome to June! Happy Pride Month. Also Happy Birthday Month to Oliver Stark. Which brings us to our next charity venture: Bark, Bothered, And Bewildered! Our goal this month is to raise money for shelter dogs in Oliver’s (& BuckTommy’s) honor. We’ve found a great rescue based in San Francisco called Muttville. What makes this place so unique & special is their mission is about helping senior dogs in particular. Whether it’s providing them loving care, foster homes or helping them in their final days through hospice care. This place is also the nation’s first cage-free facility. They do work with their foster program, donations and adoption events & other galas including Pride/LGBTQ+ causes. Which is a great way to tie-in to Pride Month & both Oliver’s & Lou’s love of dogs! From the Nashville Zoo’s fb page! Here’s the petition, please please please take a moment to add your name (even if you’re not from Nashville!). If you are from Tennessee, contact your representatives and make it clear that the people do not want this data center. This is an AZA accredited zoo which is home to several species of critically endangered animals, we NEED to protect it. Make your voice heard!

The Amur Leopard and Clouded Leopard (which recently celebrated its 50th cub born at the zoo!)

The Sumatran Tiger

The Red Ruffed Lemur and Ring-Tailed Lemur

The Cotton-Top Tamarin and White-Cheeked Gibbon

The Colobus Monkey and De Brazza’s Monkey

And the Mexican Spider Monkey!
