Do you know the Muffin Man? (To Jerry)
"Yeah, I know the muffin man. He lives on Drury Lane. Why do you ask?"
Would you rather keep your Vampiric Veggie Immortality, or give it all up for an exclusive relationship with a Giant Pickle (for Jerry)
Jerry gasped "My own Sophie's choice...but I've seen Aladdin. Yeah, Aladdin. Can't make someone fall in love with you. One of the genie's rules. Besides, being a vampire and extra strong helps cause he's a giant. Yeah. Giant Pickle, that guy."
❛ what do you want? you can tell me. ❜ from Jerry
No. He couldn't. He daren't tell anyone. The things that happened to and with a Banker were to stay to and with a Banker. "Why don't you tell me what you'd like?"
"Oh!" Jerry smiled. "I want a credit card. Yeah, credit card. Big limit."
"How... big of a limit?" The Banker spoke both cautiously and curiously, just as he had learned at The Banking Academy (patent pending).
Jerry smirked smirkingly "As big as you'll let me go, Mr. Banker."
"Well... first I'll have to know your annual salary."
Jerry thinks "Celery? I don't think I've had any celeries. I almost had a giant pickle, but I don't think we're exclusive. We never had that talk."

❛ race you to the end of the street! ❜ from Jerry
"Like, what makes you think you could even beat me?"
"I'm impossibly fast, and strong." Jerry said sparklingly
❛ not everyone is born with the privilege of being a normal person. ❜ to Jimmy from Appley
"Yeah, sorry you got those freak legs."
"90 years of jailtime for the infamous Gourd Brothers" (From Pepperazzi, to Jimmy)
"Well, uh, that certainly can't be me. I don't have a brother."
"They told me you'd deny him three times by the rooster's crow," Pepperazzi said, shaking his head solemnly. "Or wait. Was that a different guy with a J name? Sorry, I've been kind of focused on a specific redheaded rhubarb lately. Now that my sis is back in town, I'm finally free to investigate and report on other Vegetables, but..." he sighed. "It's so hard to move on. Jimothy, you've had a lot of different jobs, right? How do you do it?"
Jimmy blinks slowly. So slowly it's with his right eye first and then his second. He does catch up though, despite his many, many questions. "Hugh. Yeah. Sure. I guess I just... show up? To the jobs?"
“And what? Just forget about the last one? Move on? Jimberly, have you never felt the fixation of Obsession?”
"I hardly know the meaning of the word." He spoke earnestly.
“Obsession, or fixation? Ah. Never mind. It’s like… say you get a craving for pizza. And it’s good pizza. Cheesy, gooey. Best pizza you’ve ever had. And then one day… the store that sold it, it’s gone. And you can never have it again. You look and you look, and try other pizza shops and frozen pizza and making your own… you NEED to find this pizza again. You need it or you’ll die, or so you feel. That is obsession. It’s all you can think of. It’s there in your dreams. It consumes you.”
Jimmy instantly starts drooling. "Where can I get this pizza?!" He asked, completely missing the point.
'that was lucky. i could have contracted a chronic disease there.' from Jerry
"I can still give you one. I like, have bronchitis."
"Ah!" Jerry yelped with a hop away "Don't breathe on me!"
"But like, didn't you say you wanted a disease or whatever?"
"No!!! I didn't want to!!!! Back away, harlot!!!"
"Uh, watch who you're calling a harlot, skank!"
"I'm not a skank!" Jerry gasped, offended. "I'm a twunk!"

'it's the only haunted-ass building in the place, but okay.' to jimmy from katrina and/or sabrina
"wait, what.. uh... what makes it so haunted?"
"The spirits." Sabrina nodded.
"Ah!" Jimmy practically jumps right out of his gourd skin. "S-s-spirits?!"
Sabrina nodded "And not the nice kind. The ooky spooky kind. From my understanding."
"Is there another kind?"

"And now here he is stealing pencils from orphans for the fun of it." (from Jerry)
"Ach, that bastard." Scooter furrowed his eyebrows as he took a bite of his coffee, and sipped on his doughnut. "Jerry, I'm sure glad the force hired ye. Y've been the best partner I've ever had on a stakeout. Get yerself a doughnut from the box. Y've earned it, laddie."
Jerry gasps in excitement. "Even a sprinkle one?"
Scooter's eyes twinkled with pride. "Aye, ye can have both sprinkle ones, my boy. Oh! And t'morrow. I'll even let ye drive."
"Oh boy!" Jerry grinned "You're a great boss."
Scooter considered telling Jerry what a ‘partner’ meant, and that Scooter didn’t actually have much authority over him as a fellow detective. Still, he did have seniority due to his years on the force. “Ye remind me of my son,” he said softly. “Long gone now, many a year. He loved donuts too. Sprinkles were his favorite. He was a wee lad. Chased one off the boat during a storm. I was without the wee one when we landed in New York, and I… I always liked to think he might have been a cop, too. I moved here, hoping to forget about him. To stop watching for a boat he’d never arrive on. But och, ya remind me so much of him.” Scooter paused his trauma-dumping to wipe away a tear. “I’m sorry, lad. Have the whole box.”
While Mariah was flabbergasted reading this, the lore dropping almost as much as her jaw, all Jerry heard was that last part.
"Yippee!" he face plants into the box, before coming up for air, offering one untouched sprinkle donut to Scooter "You wan it?"
