I was today years old when I learned that when you type “otp: true” in AO3 search results it filters out fics with additional ships, leaving only the fics where your otp is the main ship
I think jack is an acts of service kind of guy. I mean, he's military - actions have always been louder than words. he seems like that kind of man that would wash your hair if you asked him. I also think he can be a little old school in how he shows his affection. he opens doors and doesn't expect a thank you (thought let's be honest, he needs to hear it). Walking on the street? Jack is always the one closest to the curb. He's been in the ER long enough to know what happens when a distracted driver hits a pedestrian.
He always pays for dinner - Working at the ER (and with the OT he gets) hasn't left Jack with a lot of time to spend his hard earned money. Besides donating to charities for vets (I feel very strongly that Jack is someone who gives back like that), he isn't someone who really spends. So when you enter his life? All bets are off. You complain one of your aipods went out? You'll come back the next day to a brand new pair on the counter with a note reading "please don't run this pair through the washing machine - J"
