570s of msch will always be the death of me. i think it's just so much more painful when you think about how hyj has been carrying all this weight as a /CHILD/, well into his adulthood.  that was the price of abandoning hyh /ONCE/. and then he goes into post regression after receiving memories from hyh after his death. and now he's torn even more by knowing that hyh still tried reaching out to him (albeit, he was able to knowing that hyj would never pick up). he now blames himself for not being a "big brother" and reaching out again. 

this could be said the second time hyj would consider himself abandoning hyh again. do you know how much the weight of burden that hyj places on himself again? and if that's not enough he later finds out that he didn't necessarily turn back time. just that the data was rewritten, and 25hyh is sitting under the snowing tree. that's the 3rd time hyj abandoned hyh. 

though me saying 3 is just my unneeded analyzing, bc iirc hyj actually considers it twice that he left behind hyh: that night on the park bench and 25hyh. BUT THE POINT IS, hyj places all of this guilt and faults himself to the point of casting aside his own self when none of the situations were ever his fault.

thinking about how han yoojin isn't pretending to hate sweets because he's embarrassed about it, but because he genuinely doesn't know what he likes. since that day he felt guilt about "abandoning" han yoohyun as a kid, he killed a part of himself and in the process threw himself away

han yoojin causes me sm pain because his entire existence was driven by guilt from that *one* time he wished hyh didn't exist, his self-worth amounts to the negatives. the day he went back to get hyh was the day he abandoned and killed himself.. chatterbox arc was so painful i wish peace and happiness for han yoojin and everyone he loves
