“I’ll be…fine, Chron…”Sam replied in response to her friend’s shouting. She didn’t want her leaving, but she didn’t protest as she was placed on the stretcher.
She was taken back to be helped. Later she was brought back out in a wheelchair. She was allowed to go home, but she shouldn’t exert herself for a couple days.
The was no chance of denying the girl her request, not with how frantic the other was as she was led away. Further, he didn’t expect it to be too long before the poisoned teen was released back into their care.
“You’re alright! I’m so glad,” he greeted her upon her release. “I’m sorry, I realised while you were away that I never got a chance to introduce myself.” There hadn’t been much time, with how quickly things had escalated. “You’re Sam, right? And I think I heard you call your friend Chron? My name is Damien.”
Part of him truly wanted to ask what that fight had been all about, but the more rational part of him insisted that first things first, he really should see if he could get the teens back to their homes if they trusted him to do so. Or at least out of the town with its strange masquerade.
With Sam released and Chron calm, the volume and panic levels finally began to turn down. Chron immediately went to the job of rolling Sam’s wheelchair, and though she was no longer super loud she was no the verge of crying instead.
“ It’s nice to meet you, Damien. “ Theta translated for her emotionally compromised older sister, “ Yup. Omichron Kuroneko. And like we were saying earlier, I’m Theta Kuroneko and this is Daisuke Kuroneko-- “
“ And we are not related. “ Daisuke added as a disclaimer.
