Sometimes I feel sorry for misogynists, because they will never feel the power in power dynamics the way the rest of us do. When you look at a partner, and see them as your equal, the gesture of submission and kneeling contains power because the submissive leaves her place of equality to give her dom the lion's share of the power she holds. If you inherently believe that women belong below you, then submission and kneeling becomes nothing more than a confirmation of your world view. A misogynist sees no power to give. A misogynist sees no power to take. A misogynist sees no sacrifice when they perceive a woman has simply found her place. Empty gestures. Empty lifestyle.
