Maya Hawke Plays With Puppies While Answering Fan Questions
This is all I need for Valentine’s Day. Maya playing with puppies. My heart is a happy heart.
I honestly also don't think that Rafe is sociopathic or even psychopathic. imo he shows many signs of dissociative identity disorder that could have developed due to the endless trauma he has suffered (bc of Ward, loss of his mother, whatever)
So true! He might be at the beginning stages of Dissociative Identity Disorder. The guilt and trauma of what he did to Peterkin could be causing this as well. That’s an additional trauma too. And yeah, people can say he brought it on himself, but think about how bad the guilt could be affecting his mental health. That’s why in s2, we saw scenes where he wasn’t sleeping. It’s because the guilty memory keeps replaying. It always feels better to come clean, and Rafe does not have that option unless he wants to face a life sentence in jail or the death penalty. So he has to live with this guilt which is making him more “crazy.” AKA adding to his trauma and worsening his symptoms. It’s all really terrible when you analyze it this deep. 😔
Why do you think Ward prefers Sarah over Rafe?
Oh hello there!
I LOVE THIS QUESTION. In my opinion, (and based on what Chip said in an interview once), I think Ward prefers Sarah because she is well behaved, sweet, and she follows his expectations. Rafe seems like he strayed from his Dad’s expectations when he was younger.
Rose said, “ever since you were little you were always slithering around. Always sucking up.” So he must have been trying to “kiss up” at a young age to get his father’s attention. This shows that Ward has always favored Sarah.
Now, I know, your question is why. So here’s my attempt at explaining why.
It could be because Sarah has a likable personality. She’s almost like a Disney Princess in the first episode we see her. She is saving the mice from birds. A very Disney Princess thing to do. According to her Dad, she gets good grades in French class. She makes Ward proud. Whereas Rafe, seemed to act out. Perhaps the loss of his mother (either death or absence) caused him to make trouble on the island. (Similar to how JJ also acts out due to the trauma in his life). I believe, Rafe might have started acting out due to trauma in regards to losing his Mom. From what we know, it seems like Rafe didn’t focus in school, and he developed a drug addiction at some point along the way. Ward has had to bail him out multiple times before.
To sum it up: Rafe strayed away from Ward’s expectations whereas Sarah did exactly what Ward wanted and thus she became the golden child.
a patron asked to see april fools day with the weasley twins.

Lol this is something they would do. Should I attempt baby twin Fanart even tho I can’t draw?
friendly reminder
Ward Cameron is the reason Sheriff Peterkin is dead. Rafe might have shot her but Ward let her die. Remember, Rafe was not in the right mind. He did not go in there with premeditated murder on his mind. He pulled the trigger. But afterwards, this is a big thing. Afterwards, Peterkin was bleeding and hurt. She tried to call for help and Ward stopped her. Who knows, she might have lived if she got help fast enough. If John B kept the pressure on her wounds. (Not that it’s John B’s fault for leaving. He had to run because of Ward and Peterkin even told him too). Point is, Ward blames Rafe. But let’s not forget, he had no problem letting her die. A good Dad, who was truly concerned about what his son had done, would call the police and ambulance. Get her help, then explain everything. Get a lawyer for Rafe. Explain his drug addictions and how he was not attempting murder. Etc. I’ll end with this again: “Rafe Cameron shot Peterkin, but Ward let. her. die.”
I’ve been under the weather all week so I doodled out more HP art for fun and comfort, someone requested Mrs Weasley being badass, and though of course there’s an obvious scene that springs to mind, her everyday protecting of a flock of children through two scary wars is also v badass
THE TWINS! They are on the floor lookin’ like cuties.
did i (a person who doesn’t enjoy horror movies) watch a horror movie just for drew starkey? yes!
did his (surprise!) whump make this weird-ass movie 10x better? yes, yes it did 😭
rafe cameron needs to get whumped in outer banks s03 or i riot because i *whumperflies*
I agree. He needs to be whumped more. (Auto correct changed wumped to ‘whipped’ and I’m like, yeah, that would work too ig. I’m not opposed.)
DREW STARKEY AS JUNIOR ALBA –– THE TERMINAL LIST (2022)
I have a lot to say about Rafe Cameron (in his defense honestly) but I have seen a lot of others comment on how he is not a psychopath or sociopath— which I agree with — so I will wait to post my huge character study of this very troubled boy. His actions were one hundred percent wrong, I don’t want that to be confused. But the reasons behind it is not because he’s just crazy. It’s Ward Cameron’s fault and the show does a phenomenal job at showing how and why. But not getting into all of that just yet, I wanted to add some clips where I found Rafe’s behavior towards his father interesting. Let me say this, it is obvious that Ward does love his kids. HOWEVER, how he treats them and the way he raised them was very wrong. Ward’s clear favoritism of Sarah is at it’s core the problem with Rafe. He feels unloved and every scene he is striving for his father’s affection and attention. Everything he does it to please his Dad and it spins into this horrific nightmare that he can’t cope with because he is not a psychopath. He feels guilty! And he can’t take all of it so he starts to lose it a little bit and he becomes more numb. He makes more irrational decisions. But in the back of his head the only thing driving him is pleasing his Dad and the resentment of his sister. Damn it, I went into it. Okay, sorry. The main thing I wanted to show was Rafe backing up when his father approaches him.
This is something new I picked up on. But he does it twice in the show. Like he is afraid of what his Dad might do. This begs the question of what did Ward do in the past to make Rafe physically back away from him? We as an audience have a front row seat to an extremely abusive father son relationship with JJ and Luke. So it makes sense for scenes between Rafe and his father to seem not as extreme in comparison to that. But the subtlety is even worse because it goes so unnoticed even by an audience. Now, I’m not saying Rafe was physically abused. There’s no proof of that except for the shove and slap from his Dad when things got really intense. But if Ward was willing to go that far when angry, I have a feeling it wasn’t the first time Ward ever hit him.
Again, Ward approaches and he backs up.
it’s gotta be me Stranger Things, Chapter Six: The Dive
The way my brain works is thinking about how Steve Harrington’s shoes are still randomly floating in the middle of the lake on a boat and someone rows by and is like why is there an abandoned pair of shoes here?
STRANGER THINGS Season 3, Episode 7
Babes ❤️
one of the reasons that makes me not understand why some people were surprised when the show went to the steve and Nancy route again its that they never got closure in season 2!!! i thinks it has been said a thousand times, but how things unfolded in season 2 never made me think that everything was solved between them. Their break up was messy, steve leaves when she cant say that she loves him and when he goes to apologize, she already left with Jonathan. When they see each other again, that moment is supposed to give them closure but they don't actually talk about them, steve says it's okay, and we can interpret that he is referring to the thing between her and Jonathan, but then when he leaves the camera stays on nancy contemplating what just happened. And at the end, Steve, who drove Dustin to the ball, and maybe accepted that nancy and him arent meant to be, stays a few seconds looking at her through the window. So in that season, the moments when we could say there was closure there was also something left hanging. So that was one of the reasons why this dynamic was easily reintroduced in season 4, because it was never fully completely over.

my god, this reminds me of when we were young.
"so this is it, that's how it ends? i guess there's nothing more romantic than dying with your friends, and i'm not sorry, for myself, i wouldn't want to spend a minute loving anybody else" - Til Forever Falls Apart by Ashe & Finneas
These lyrics always remind me of Steve and Nancy in the upside down where he admits that she's always been a part of his dream for the future. And every single time it brings me to fucking tears. Everyone going to fight vecna, having no clue if any of them will make it out alive, admitting how he feels about her cause it might just be his last chance. Fuck.
Billy don’t be a hero come back to me. Sorry I had to make this lol.
