BTW Hojo being "ugly" isn't proof he isn't Sephiroth's father. It's already canon to the game he is. The ugly thing is actually just kind of weird reasoning. It really is just...icky.

Edit: This isn't referring to the people who head canon. It's referring to those who genuinely believe that's a reason Hojo isn't the dad while ignoring the rest of the evidence.

I really wish FF7 didn't overlook the fact that Gast Faremis completely abandoned Sephiroth when he viewed that man as a father. They really tried painting Gast as a great scientist who did things for a good cause, but I really think he's more like Hojo but with a more gentle approach to his cruelty. Let's not forget who was initially in charge of the Jenova Project and was the head of R&D, and thus, had to approve of everything.

Being Aerith's father shouldn't give him a Good Guy Badge.

I dont understand how people think “but they killed people!” Is everrrr going to convince me to hate a fictional character. I actually like them more because they killed people. In fact, its the main thing I like about them. I would cheer with pom-poms at the mere implication of them killing again.

Same-face syndrome needs to stop being used as proof that Vincent is Sephiroth’s father when it's already canon that it's Hojo.

Rufus and Sephiroth have a slightly similar face. Does that mean Rufus is magically his father now? Or the President?

Headcanons are fine. I don't care, but please stop getting mad at people who go by the canon material for their fics. If you want Vincent to be the father so badly, please, write your own fic. Or else leave those who use the canon material in their fics alone.

This is very much a restriction of movement. There has been multiple trans people who have said that when they tried to get their passport renewed they were denied it.

@/gentlereality on TikTok was denied a renewed passport , and she isn’t the only one who’s said this has happened to them.

After her story blew up and was reported by news networks she has finally been given approval to get a passport recently (and by recently I mean she posted an update 4 hours ago). This is only because her story got reach and she was able to get in contact with ACLU and a local congressperson to put pressure on the passport agency. Imagine what’s happening to the trans people being denied passports whose stories don’t get reach?

A part of me hopes that alissa and sephiroth become a thing for a while just to spite some people. It's really annoying seeing entitled fans act like it would be the worst thing in the world, just because they have certain headcanons for Sephiroth.

I think the big idea people forget that these are fictional characters. And even within canon, you can still have different interpretations of these characters and the canon events. And didn't Rebirth more or less confirm that there are different realities within the FF7 Multiverse?

So everything is simultaneously canon and not canon. Just chill out and enjoy your hearts content.

I already know which group of people would start lashing out if EC did imply Sephiroth did have romantic feelings for a girl at one point in his life. God forbid a character with no canon sexuality has fans that interpret him differently from the popular norm within a certain community

@mystical-sephira If you're trying to call out sefikura shippers, I'm sorry to tell you, you're wrong. We are the least problematic people in the fandom of a problematic ship. It would mainly come from people who self-ship with him. I personally wouldn't mind at all, I've seen him as many things: asexual, bisexual, and demisexual. At the end of the day, it's all fiction.

Sorry for the confusion, I wasn’t targeting them or any ship group in particular. I like sefikura myself. I meant a toxic fandom behavior of sexuality gatekeeping. It just happens Sephiroth most popular ships are his gay ones, so some people start thinking that has to be his correct sexuality simply because it’s the popular majority. I feel people start to forget others can have different interpretation of a character than the rest, even if it’s not popular.

I also agree that there are toxicity from self-shippers. I hate a lot of the hypocrisy from them. FFVII fandom doesn’t have the worst sexuality gatekeeping problem, it’s 100% far more terrible in other fandoms I’ve seen. I just feel like people forget most of these characters don’t have canon sexuality and everyone’s entitled to their opinion. Sephiroth is just a fictional character at the end of the day with a lot of openness to him.

Which Seph’s would care for the Darling after she gives birth to their child and which wouldn’t? Which one does it best?

They would all care for their darling with the same devotion and love. Though some Sephiroths can do it best.

Dissidia Sephiroth: He's Husband material like Fluffy Sephiroth. Really helps that he is one with his darling already. Kinda a cheat. If Darling is in need of something or wants it? He can use his godly abilities to obtain it for her, if not will it into existence. Unlike his counterparts, he has a remarkable self-assurance in his love for darling, thus no jealousy or possessiveness whatsoever.

Crisis Core (Nibelheim Incident) Sephiroth: Does a good job of taking care of darling too. A little too good. He practically hover overs Darling and their child obsessively. Not even allowing himself to sleep because even a fleeting second with his newly family is precious to him. Darling has to slowly find a way to coax him to sleep. He's also terrified of somehow losing Darling.

Fluffy Sephiroth: He's bit of a nervous wreck internally but tries to keep it together for darling's sake. He hyper prepared himself before the birth and during his darling's pregnancy and even then, it's a difficult road for him. He knows in the postpartum period, it can be a dangerous time for mother and child so his intense vigilance is on high alert. Though sometimes, when darling and their newborn child is asleep, Sephiroth quietly cries to himself, either out of uttter sorrow for what he once lost or utter happiness of what he has now.
