It's most assuredly not the case based on how he was more willing to confess than the others, but imagine with me a world where Kiyotaka's secret was that he let Toranosuke die. Like, I've always thought that the silence that Toranosuke fell into during the last years of his life was similar to Kiyotaka's own catatonic state and that the two remaining Ishimarus had to take care of him. So picture it. Taka was watching over him one day, and some completely preventable deadly circumstances occurred. Toranosuke starts choking, perhaps. And Taka sees this and just... lets it be.
In that one moment alone, Kiyotaka decided something actually wasn't worth his effort. And Toranosuke, ironically, had struggled more in that moment than he ever had in his life before.
Do you ever think about how Kiyotaka outright states that he HATES Toranosuke. Like. Really think about that for a second. Kiyotaka is not one to exaggerate when it comes to his feelings. He states what he believes with his full chest. And his feelings are huge, so huge he can hardly contain them without bursting into tears.
Can you IMAGINE how much hatred lived in his heart for that man?
@basicallykiyotaka I'm platonically kissing you on the mouth you're so right
