Summary: Before you met Sam, you had given birth to a beautiful baby boy, and now, four years later, you have to go to an important meeting, and Sam has to babysit. What's the worst that could happen?
Warnings: Lots of fluff. My bad writing.
"Bye Sam! Bye y/s/n!" You call from the front door racing around by it to make sure you have everything. Just as your about to leave Sam walks out of the kitchen and captures you in a quick hug and a peck on the cheek. "Bye babe." He says as you walk out of the door. Leaving the two boys on their own.
"Mama?" Y/s/n calls out from the top of the stairs his precious Teddy bear in hand. "You just missed her, buddy." Sam explains his voice soft as he stands and looks at the little boy. "Oh," is all y/s/n says as he starts to waddle down the stairs slowly. " 'm hungry," He says once he's reached Sam. "Well, why don't we go get you changed, and I'll call Uncle Colby so we can go get breakfast then go to the park, yeah?" Sam suggests as he picks the little boy up, placing him on his hip. "Otay," Y/s/n agrees as Sam starts to walk back up the stairs.
Once y/s/n is dressed in his comfy green dinosaur hoodie that he insisted he had to show Uncle Colby and so blue jeans the pair head downstairs. "Right I just got to call Colby and we will be all set." Sam explains to the beaming kid.
Sam: Me and Y/s/n were going to go get some breakfast then head to the park wanna come with us?
Colby: Sure man I ain't got anything to do today
Sam: Alright we will meet you at the car?
"Alright bud let's go down to the car." Sam watches as the little boy sprints to the door. "You got your shoes on?" He asks the little boy who just looks down at his feet realising he had forgotten to put on his trainers. "Cmon" Sam says as he picks the shoes up and crouches down to help Y/s/n put them on.
After getting the shoes on they finally make it to the car where Colby is leaning on the passenger side door waiting for the two. As soon as the youngest spots Colby he hides behind Sam's leg. Sam catches on witha raised eyebrow. "Oh hey Colby y/s/n has something he wants to show you." He introduces and that makes Colby crouch down to be eye level. "What is it you want to show me little man?" He asks intrigued. That's when the boy jumps out from behind Sam's leg with a Rawr. As a reaction Colby acted scared and jumped back slightly. "Woah that's so cool!" Colby exclaims making y/s/n smile brightly. All of a sudden Colby reaches out to the young boy and pulls him in trapping the young boy in a tickle attack. Sam stands laughing at the two his phone out recording the interaction. A few minutes later Colby finally let's go laughing as the boy turn around and tries to tickle Colby. "Cmon guys we should probably get going." Sam says a large smile on his face as he walked over to the drivers side door. Colby gets up with Y/s/n in his arms as he opens the backseat passenger side door and sets him in the car seat ready for the journey.
Once everyone was in and settled Sam turned the car on drove off. The radio playing "History" by One Direction and y/s/n singing along to every word cheerfully. You see y/n had practically raised the little boy on One Direction since before he was born. So he could sing along to any song that had been released during the boys band life or single careers. Colby and Sam smiled at each other listening to the boy. "We're here" Sam says as he pulls into the parking lot. Parking the car and turning the engine off. "Aw the song hadn't finished." y/s/n pouted and Colby joined in making Sam laugh "Sorry buddy but we are here now and guess what?" Sam apologised.
"What?" Y/s/n asks as Sam turns to face him. "We can get ice cream after we have eaten." Sam says making the boy light up the unfinished song soon forgotten. "Yay!" He shouts happily.
After the three had eaten at a quaint cafe, the boys all headed towards the ice cream parlour as promised by Sam. "What do you want, bud?" Sam asks the little boy leaning down slightly. "Chocolate Ice Cream!" He exclaims excited. "And you, Colby?" Sam asks this time facing his friend. "Uh, just a mint choc chip please Sam" Colby tells his friend as he nods. "Why don't you go sit down and I'll get the ice creams." Sam says to no one in particular. "No its ok, Sam. I'll get them since you got breakfast." Colby insists, causing the two to bicker over who is paying for the ice cream. In the end, Sam orders the ice cream, and before he can pull his phone out, Colby has already paid. "Really?" Sam says his eyebrow raised. "Really." Colby repeats a smug smirk on his lips. Sam just rolls his eyes as he takes two of the ice creams. "Thanks." He says before heading to the door with Y/s/n ice cream and his own. The little boy hot on Sams heels following his ice cream. "What do you say to Colby?" Sam asks the boy who is staring up at his ice cream cone like he's never had one before. "Tank you Uncle Colby." the boys says eyes fixed on the ice cream in Sam's hand. "Your welcome buddy." Colby replies as Sam hands the ice cream over to the little boy who immediately gets chocolate all around his mouth. "Why don't we take you hoodie off before you get in to much of a mess." Sam says gently taking the ice cream back into his possession making the boy whine. "Colby can you help him?" Sam asks and Colby nods kneeling down to help the boy out of his hoodie one handed. Once off Sam swapped with Colby taking the hoodie as Colby takes the ice cream giving it back to the boy as he stands up.
Soon enough all three are walking through the park enjoying their ice creams as Sam and Colby talk the boy holds onto Sam's free hand and in the other he holds his beloved ice cream. The warm sun making the park bright and peaceful until they reach the park where children are laughing and screaming parents shouting at there kids. The seen looks like an average sunny day at the park but usually Sam takes y/s/n when it isn't as busy. The young boy swiftly let's go of Sam's hand running towards the slide.

Before Sam could say anything, the boy was out of sight. "Shit." Sam said, catching Colbys attention. "Dude, really? You had one job." Colby starts lecturing Sam as his best friend starts to look around frantically. "Y/n is gonna flip when she finds out you lost her baby boy." Colby warns Sam before the blonde takes off into the crowd of children and parents. That's when suddenly Colbys phone starts to ring.
Y/n: Hey Colby is Sam with you?
Y/n: I just wanted to check in and make sure y/s/n is alright.
Colby: Everything is good here.
Y/n: You sound nervous everything OK?
Colby: Uh yeah, no, everything is fine here I uh I gotta go but I'll call you back.
"Oh no." Colby says as he starts to look for the five year old boy. "Y/s/n!" He calls out as parents give him dirty looks at how loud he was being. "Yo Sam, I'm gonna call Kris to help us." The dark-haired boy says to Sam when they run into each other."Good idea." Is all Sam musters out as his head flicks from one direction to another.
Kris: Yo what's up Colby?
Colby: So me and Sam took Y/s/n to the Park since y/n had a meeting today, and we kinda ya know....
Kris: You lost him didn't you?
Kris: How can two men lose one five year old?
Kris: You need me to come help don't you?
Five minutes had passed of Colby and Sam running around like lunatics searching for Y/s/n, and to their luck, they still hadn't found the boy. That's when they were joined by Kris, who immediately started climbing up one of the wooden structures that led to a large slide. "I didn't think of that." Sam says to Colby as he watches her start to crawl around the wooden castle.
"Y/s/n?" Kris quietly says as she gets to one of the lookout rooms, finding a boy with a white T-shirt and a pair of jeans. "KRIS!" The boy yelled excitedly as he launched himself into her arms. "Hey buddy, what ya doing up here all alone?" Kris asked, pulling away from the hug. "Hiding so Sam and Colby can find me. Wanna hide with me?" The boy whispered as if it was a top secret mission. Kris smiled mischievously and sat next to the boy quietly. Look out the window at the two men who stared up at the structure.
"Where did Kris go?" Sam asked Colby as he looked at some of the passage ways. "I don't know. I'll go up there and see." Colby said as he started climbing the rope ladder.
A few minutes later and Colby found both Kris and Y/s/n sat in the same room giggling to themselves. "And what do you two think you're doing?" Colby playfully said, sitting on his knees, placing his hands on his hips. "Hiding from you two." Kris explained, and the boy smiled widely at the man wearing a leather jacket and leather trousers. Colby just raised his eyebrow and scooted over to the pair, joining them. "You mister are gonna get me and Sam in a lot of trouble with your mom." Colby explains as he pulls the boy onto his lap. The boy remained quiet and wrapped his arms around Colbys neck, resting his head on Colbys shoulder.
Sam stood their on his own, hands on his hips as he squinted up at all the children running around the castle slide, no sign of Kris, Colby, or Y/s/n. So he took it upon himself to start climbing the structure to find the boy himself.
After a good ten minutes of walking around the large wooden castle slide. Sam finally discovered a ladder that led to the room the three were hiding in. "There you lot are!" Sam says loudly as the three sit looking at at Sam like deer caught in headlights. That's when the young boy makes a daring escape down another ladder on the other side of the room Colby and Kris doing the same. Sam just shakes his head. "Let the chase begin, I guess." Sam says to himself as he starts to chase the group around the wooden structure. All laughing as they finally make it to the tallest slide on the structure. "Gotcha." Sam says as he blocks the only entrance to the slide. They could either give up or go down the scary metal slide. Kris chose to slide down the slide as Colby and Y/s/n back up into the wall. "Bye." Y/s/n says as he daringly goes down the slide. Leaving Sam and Colby alone. "Team up?" Colby offers, and Sam nods, watching Kris and Y/s/n run away from the bottom of the slide.
The young boy was crawling along one of the smaller passage ways when he ran into Colbys' legs at the end of the passage. "Uh oh," is all he was able to say, looking up at Colby before he was scooped up from the floor and into Colbys arms. "I found him, Sam!" Colby said as he made his way towards the entrance of the structure, where Sam waited with Kris, Kris looked down in defeat as Sam held her wrists behind her back like she was a criminal and he was the cop. "Let's take them to the prison." Sam says in a deep voice, pretending to be a cop.
The group played their game for a while before y/s/n got tired and walked right up to Colby, leaning his head against Colbys knee. "You tired, buddy?" Colby asked in his normal voice, crouching down and balancing on the balls of his feet. The young boy just nodded now, resting his head on Colbys shoulder. "Alright, bud." Colbys said as he picked the boy up and walked towards where Sam waited with Kris. "Everything alright?" Sam asked, concerned, and Colby simply nodded as the boy shifted slightly, wrapping his small arms around Colbys neck like a koala. "Think we should call it a day." Sam said to no one in particular as Kris nodded, agreeing with Sam.
The group said their goodbyes and the boys headed to their car. Y/s/n had fallen asleep. All that running around had tired the poor boy out.
When they all got back home, Sam and Colby parted ways, and Sam carried y/s/n up to his and y/n apartment that was directly above Colbys. "I'm home," Sam called out. He headed straight upstairs to y/s/n room and placed the boy down onto his bed, gently tucking him into his dinosaur covers and heading back downstairs where you waited a smile on your face. "What happened today?" You asked the smile gone and a stern look on your face. Sam was in for a world of trouble. At least everyone had fun.
