more eel simon, now starring grace! i’m very indecisive about their dynamic so far, but in this, simon accidentally hurt grace and retreated into his mind, leaving his body essentially a statue so he doesn’t hurt him again, while grace feels guilty for provoking simon and being scared of him, essentially just blaming himself for the whole situation <3

simon isn’t stuck in the eel form and he can appear as a human, but in exchange for human form, his mind connected to the eel hivemind, making him doubt his own thoughts and actions. however in his eel form, he has control over his mind. before Grace arrived he was content with his form, but after Grace arrives, he’s more self conscious and tries to stay in his human form. (it doesn’t end well)

his shifts can also be caused by emotions, the more extreme emotions make him more eel-looking :33

he can breathe in the blood w/ his gills so he can survive erid’s atmosphere as long as he’s in blood. his mane stores the blood so he can go out of his little pool for periods of time :33 plus a pool of blood was faster to create than a whole dome so he lived in it temporarily
