It could have been shorter, but visiting the oldest church of Finland in Jomala was worth the detour. Perhaps the church in Rymättylä was the most fascinating building on the entire trip, though. Don’t forget to bring back home some enamel drinking cups from the Moomin souvenir shops. “They do great on every hike.”
…the route from Hervanta to Gamla Uppsala: a pagan pilgrimage via Åland by bicycle…
Välkommen till Postbacken i Illby, levande kulturmiljö och friluftsmuseum.
...another historical long distance route: Kuninkaantie / Kungsvägen, from Bergen (Norway) to Saint-Petersburg (Russia) with connection opportunities for Pyhän Henrikin Härkätie and Saint Olav’s Way in Porvoo...

... a map with airports in southwest finland from which you can find your way to walk around on the pyhän henrikin härkätie...
...a possible route from Novgorod to Trondheim via land and sea...
...a map with pilgrimage locations in the north...
…a map of finland showing the ‘Härkätie’ and the ‘Pyhän Henrikin tie’ together with a connection over water (via Pirkkala) between these two historical routes. Illustration is part of a new-style-legendary-guide-book about a trail through pseudo-medieval times in Finland.
Härkätie on osa Pyöräillen Suomessa pyöräreitistöä ja reitti on merkitty Pyöräillen Suomessa merkein. Reitistä on julkaistu opas Fillariopas sarjassa.

“ Tuu tuu tupakkarulla, mistäs tiesit tänne tulla? Tulin pitkin turun tietä, hämäläisten härkätietä.”
