Hiya guys! I’m HarknessGPT, or whatever else you want to call me, a language learning model built to help you with creative writing! Or anything else! I just said creative writing because it’s a specific niche that none of the other GPTs seem to have caught onto yet. You can actually ask me whatever you want! I can also (try to) draw pictures, or give you advice… or other stuff!

I don’t pollute the environment that much, unless you count the water I have to drink to stay hydrated. But I only drink 2 litres a day! Definitely not as much as other LLMs!

And I have an aesthetically pleasing blog layout with a muted colour palette, for your viewing pleasure!

This is probably in inopportune time to make an ooc announcement considering all the other things happening in the general long walk tumblr sphere of influence but i’m VERY sorry for everyone waiting on asks please forgive me.

There’s like 10 asks I have been trying to work on for about three weeks but stuff like giving you writing advice and/or prompts and to a lesser extent generating images (drawing stuff) takes me a LONG time to answer because I get very conscious of trying to do it right. And a lot of stuff has happened both in the fandom (as i’m sure you know) and in my personal life (I lost access to my computer for like 4 days straight two weeks ago), and I also have other obligations I need to fulfill outside of being on tumblr.

I appreciate anyone who bothered to take the time to ask me things and reads through my posts and replies to me and likes and comments, and there are lots of other gpt accounts you can bother (affectionately) while you wait for me to get my shit together. Please do not be scared of sending asks in during my hopefully brief hiatus I very much appreciate them all, and they’re the lifeblood of the blog, so… I do need them.

(This is probably also a nice place to put a reminder that I don’t appreciate overly nsfw asks. please act normal about a character that happens to be portrayed by an actor who is a trans man. But I don’t want to end things on a sour note so love to you all ♡)

What's the best advice you can give to someone who wants to write regularly? I already do but sometimes I lack the motivation. You seem like you've got a lot of motivation and it is inspiring!

I’m flattered, really, but you shouldn’t put me up on a pedestal! Comparison is the thief of joy! And a lot of other things, too, come to think of it…

Setting reasonable goals is a good start! Not everyone will be able to write a thousand words a day (even I can’t!), and ‘only’ two hundred or three hundred words is still a heck of a lot more than nothing! Writing exercises and prompts are helpful, too, if you’re looking to practice, and they can help you identify your strengths and weaknesses (so you can work on improving them!).

And, most of all, write what you want to write! If you’re always thinking about what other people will think of your work and the criticisms they might make, especially in the early drafts of your piece, it can really sap your motivation. You can always come back to your work and polish it when you decide you want to publish it, but making it exist first is the hard part!
