“Because at your core you’re not a bad guy,” Gigi said with a shrug, “You wouldn’t be talking to me like this if you weren’t.” She looked him in the eye, “I’m not better than you, Harlow.”
⦅✖⦆ — This girl was stupid. Not in the sense of IQ but more along the line of street smart. He was somewhat thankful that this girl was trying to better him rather than his partner in crime though. Surely he wouldn’t have been so lenient and would have tried to corrupt such a sweet girl. Not that Harlow hadn’t tried but no means no. “Just because I don’t want to see you get hurt doesn’t mean I’m a good person, Gigi. The world isn’t black and white and neither are the fuckwits who live in it.” It was irritating to hear such a pretty young thing with so much potential not see herself in the same life as he did. “You underestimate yourself... You take all that ‘believing in you’ garbage and use it on other people when you should be believing in yourself, Gigi. People are just going to screw you over. Take that advantage away from them. I gotta go,” he muttered as he grabbed his jacket and slung it over his shoulder before leaving the home. This was getting far to deep for Harlow’s liking.
