"......."
((No context. Blame runescratch))
The same as most any other being... Wet .. shivering.. a tiny lump of flesh and bones.
Really what other answer did you expect could be given.
You know enchanters this age have developed some rather crafty appearance shifting charms.
There's really little reason we have to expose ourselves in public blatantly. Though...A conversation on dead species ought to be amusing...

Huh? Who was he to tell her what to do? Especially after being emotionally driven to stride almost across the entirety of Valoran, exhausted and beaten to a pulp, only to ask of one simple thing from him— And before her thoughts could reach a conclusion, he was gone from her site, already left behind… Don’t use any electricity. She looked where he had been. It was filled with darkness. Don’t use any electricity— The thought echoed in her mind… Electricity was what she’d always use as a light source…but why had he instructed her to refrain from it? Were there creatures in its depths that would be attracted to it?
"Fiaz?" she whispered, approaching the cavern entrance. She peered deep inside, the darkness seeming like a piece of fabric hanging down in front of her. She reached her hand into it. The darkness was so thick that her hand almost disappeared inside of it.
Veperine had always been isolated in solitude and darkness… Shadows meant nothing to her…but this… This was unlike anything she had experienced before. Once again, she called out his name. “Fiaz!” This time, it was louder… Much louder, as it echoed through the caverns. She wasn’t going to be left alone—that, or she would be forced to use electricity. A simple “don’t use any electricity” wouldn’t stop her.
It felt cool in the tunnel, walls leaning around his irritation in a stoic embrace. No breeze entered here, only a momentary buzz from the entrance. Such a sudden intoxication So much so one could drown in it. Oblivion welcomes any who seek it's depths after all.
The second call shot through Fiaz's ears, a twinge of guilt dripping from the impact. ...Ah that was right. A Guest. That wasn't the way they did things.
Veperine's silhouette was held steady in the frame of dim light behind her. Her face was blurred into the mosaic of color. The faint sound of her heart beat a odd staccato in the stagnant quiet between them.
Fiaz bit back at dry words before he spoke up again. A blank stare flickered back and forth where he knew her eyes couldn't reach.
"I'm only a few feet away from you.", Fiaz's tone lit up in a vague attempt to coax her forward. He shifted towards Veperine once more, eyes catching a little light and returning a glow to them.
"...If you require assistance say so.", he sighed inaudibly. Fiaz offer reached through the dim light extended in open hands for her. Fingers curling, ready to pull back into the dark with her wanted haste. Perhaps she'd insist otherwise, the infinite worlds of possibilities spanning forward in a fraction of a second.
But then again, accepting or not, there would be little avoiding whatever was to come. If the burn of sun and the cutting winds couldn't slow that run, why ever should shadows be much different?

WAIT WHAT WHO IS YOUR SON THAT I AM SUPPOSEDLY DATING, MISTER RUSTY COPPER OF DOOM?
GEEZ. I DON’T KNOW…

Running away from a crazy lady: Irritating
Avoiding being paralyzed: Huge pain
Using a can opener on that one metal guy: Endless satisfaction.

Coming around the corner, Veperine leaned on the wall next to him, her arms crossed with content. It wasn’t average of her to be so calm around him, let alone be so silent. Something just didn’t seem right. Even so, she closed her eyes without a word, and gave a small sigh. It was a short while until she slid down to take a seat next to Fiaz.
"No, Fiaz, despite your best thoughts, I’m not here to play around," Veperine growled lowly. "Instead…I come bearing a favor to ask. That is, if it’s alright with you."
The night was as dark as the deep sea, no light in the distance. It was questionable how Veperine had even made it to the Twins’ place of living. Even that was impressive—so maybe, just maybe this favored she was asking was of some importance…especially if her entire demeanor was changed.
One long stare followed, whatever Veperine wanted could wait for a second. A gut feeling that something interesting happened wouldn't desist. Realization hit like a brick when he sniffed the air again. She couldn't be that stupid....
"..You went through Shurima alone didn't you?", the playful tone evaporating in seconds. Should have noticed sooner by the lack of his sister upon arrival. The visuals of this were less than amusing.
Veperine somehow managing to piss off every beast in a mile radius. Oh and not to mention finding a tiny corridor on a poc marked cliff among thousand in Shurima's endless flowing waves of sand. One tiny human.
Alone.
Fiaz bolted up, after shoving the book into a satchel with much more force than necessary. Veperine was yanked her feet. Grabbing Veperine's face in both hands, Fiaz leaned close to look cocking her in different angles. Fingers pressing into her cheeks to feel for any injuries. Just how could someone so terrifying in battle consistently be such a headache inducing idiot? He continued to mutter, ignoring any squirming.
"Your favor can wait. We're going inside." The sooner they got out of Shurima's dry air the better.
Letting go Fiaz moved towards one of the pitch black cavern entrances. Turning slightly to look at her his expression was less than pleased, tail twitching with an agitated pace.
"Follow closely and don't use any electricity. " There were times in which Suanla's talent at traps was less than convenient for others navigating the labyrinth. It did nothing to aid his mood which hung about in a thick smog.

Ahh, there he was again! Her little target… She loved messing with the ‘little kitty’. It was a nice past time—rather, it was more of an innate display of affection. Fiaz was very different from any other man she had come across, anyways, and unlike other guys, he could actually keep her interest, no matter how uncooperative he was… Maybe that’s what it was. Maybe she liked that. Hmm. How cruel.
Fiaz slowly closed the notebook and laid it on by the windowsill. She sounded as stealthy as a bunch of sugar injected yordles. Mentions time and time again to the futility of most normal attacks were always spoken over. Veperine's persistence would dictate more just not giving a shit either way.
"That had better not be that...catnip thing I detect.", Fiaz started, not bothering to turn around quite yet. Just a guess, perhaps a deterrent if necessary.
Of course his sister had left only a few minutes before......jerk. Suanla's grin should have tipped him off that she noticed the coming "storm" long before he had. Shooting a small glare at the ever distracting notes. Ears cocked up and back to listen for any telltale crackles.
"So what is it human?" He shifted to the side, watching the blurred figure sauntering over. Veperine's general scent trail of ozone and burnt flesh was caution to those who'd play thoughtlessly. Frankly he'd stopped caring to play nice, much less so knowing she didn't care either.
"Have you come to teach me another lesson? Or did you actually need something this time?
It would have been easier to read the arcana's expression, but that long reaching weapon put the shock zone uncomfortably far. There was also a first time for a drugging threat, never putting that past the sadistically inclined woman.
Ø ((uahaha either or. >:] ))
I’m not sure what it is, but every time the thought of him crosses my mind, I just…a memory is brought back to me. A dark memory from long ago…a topic I’m not very fond of… but it’s strange— When it’s him that invokes those memories, I look at them a different way.
Like it wasn’t wrong of me to do it.
Like I was a caged bird waiting to be freed…
And that freedom is what I sought.
Whenever I look at him, I feel as though my heart is smiling, and I don’t know why, but he just gives me that feeling of being free and that choosing my freedom was my choice and my choice alone—that I cannot be judged on not what I did, but what I do now.
Yes, I know he has done probably worse than what I have, and he still lives on, free and as careless as can be. He could wave away what anyone says about him— and it is that independence and will that I admire so much.
People like you keep me together, and it is people like you I look up to, Fiaz.
A little ironic at best, that admiration for apathy at the glass noose quietly wrapped around a neck..
