Kotton Kandy is Pantos best friend. People see them as lovers because of their behavior and actions towards one another, but in actuality no one knows the truth because they refuse to give any comments about it.
Panto can’t talk to others except Kandy (in private), so he relies on Kandy to interpret what he’s trying to say and explain it to others.
Panto is very, very shy and paranoid about everything, so in hard times he goes to Kandy for reassurance and love.
