Chadwick Boseman getting cast was a home run, so these are some of my dream castings for his supporting cast.
Nicole Beharie as Monica Lynn - Since Storm is off limits, Monica Lynn will probably be T’Challa’s love interest, and who better to play Monica than the actress who played his wife in his first major movie. Nicole is a favorite in the geek community, so how awesome would this be?
Danai Gurira as Princess Shuri - Clearly I have a bias for actresses in the geek spectrum. Who better to play T’Challa’s ass kicking super badass sister Princess Shuri, than the ass kicking badass Michonne herself, Danai Guira.
Dennis Haybert as King T’Chaka - There are so many older badass actors that could play the role of the noble and regal T’Chaka, but I think with the combination of his size, voice, and classically trained acting skills, this would be such an easy role.
Angela Bassett as Queen Mother - Should I have to say anything about this? She’s already played the mother of countless black figures in history. Get it done Marvel.
Giancarlo Epsoitio as Uncle S’yan - I am making things so easy. Marvel get it done.

As minds throughout the world switch to football mode Thursday for the biggest sporting event in the world, We must remind ourselves of the back streets that are often forgotten. Football is an outlet for many underprivileged, poverty stricken children throughout Africa, and the world.
Most kids love the game, live for the game.. but can’t even afford a football. Instead, they make their own - like shown in the above photo. Their own versions include making them out of cloth, rubber bands, plastic bags, or anything they can find. They make goal posts with sticks or old pipes, play on uneven rough surfaces without shoes. Many girls aren’t even allowed to play.
This world cup, is the perfect opportunity to use the power of football to fund or give money to charities and organizations that fund sporting events for underprivileged children. Many also use the game to fund money for medicine and health supplies.
Some examples of what money can buy in an underprivileged world:
$25 - school fees for a child for a year
$60 - a meal everyday for a child for a year
$70 - school tuition for a year
$100 - buys jerseys for an entire team
$100 - provides soccer equipment for an entire school club
Here are a few to check out:
AFRICA:
Senegal - Transform a girl’s life through soccer
Cameroon - Soccer programs to empower 500+ youth
Kenya - Using the power of soccer to fight AIDS/HIV
Ghana - Sport & development centers for youth
Nairobi - Improving lives of 1000 girls in Nairobi’s slums
South Africa - Developing vulnerable kids through sport
Rwanda - Sport to empower women & girls
SOUTH AMERICA:
Colombia: - Soccer & school for 700 Colombian kids at risk
Nicaragua: Impact Nicaraguan Girls Playing Soccer for Change
Search for your own to fund at GlobalGiving
You can also go straight to an organization and donate. There are many organizations that use football and sport in general to tackle world problems. Right To Play , One World Futbol , SportsGifts - (which shows hundreds of organizations that do work like that)
Organizations like UNICEF give you the option at their SURVIVAL GIFTS - Where 12 dollars buys two soccer balls. And tons of other necessity needs.
And if you don’t have the money to give, or just don’t feel up to it. Knowledge and spreading the world is just has just as much power.
Enjoy the World Cup!
