It’s taken for granted to be there for someone.

Being needed is not the same as being valued.

The nafs calls you toward ease, but the heart invites you to what is pure. Walk with the voice that elevates you.

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ

"But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,"

فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ

"Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge."

(79:40-41)
