Barry was slowly getting ready for a snowball fight with Kara and Winn. Making snowballs took time and he needed to make sure he was prepared. He did not know if they were going to team up against him or not, but he didn’t want to take that chance. He decided to throw a ball behind him to see how far it was going to land. He narrowed his eyes when he did not hear it meeting the ground. Barry slowly turned around and noticed that his snowball landed on some guy’s face. “Sorry, pal,” he quickly apologised. He stared at him for the moment and before he was able to stop himself, he made a few steps towards the guy. “Has anyone ever told you that you look like Harry Potter?”

“Nah, this would be a first,” Harry said in a teasing tone that could easily be mistaken for him being truthful as he dusted off the snow that had been hurled towards him. He always found it amusing when people were shocked it was him. Especially after all this time. Then again this was a different world -- was it possible this guy was a wizard from his own? How could he know he was a good or bad one? Perhaps he’d have to take the plunge. “I mean it’s crazy how I don’t get it more often,” Harry said, shrugging dramatically, “I mean I ever have the scar and everything,” he said, pushing his iconic glasses up his nose before scooping up the hair hiding his forehead to reveal the lightning scar. “Completely mad, isn’t it?

“Don’t be silly, Harry. You’re such a drama queen,” Hermione replied with a laugh, “Because it’s fun and it’s tradition. Well, mum and dad used to take me every New Years Eve. I just thought it would be a fun tradition to share with you,” She paused, her smile faltering at the thought of her parents, “If you really don’t want to, I suppose you don’t have to.”

She had pulled the parents card. How could he say no to that? He’d officially be the worst best friend ever if he had. “No, no it’s totally fine. I’m rubbish at this but of course I’ll do it with you,” Harry said with a smile. “Now come on, let’s do this!”

Lily grinned back at her son, telling herself to hold off with crying till the evening. She had been sobbing constantly since Harry appeared in Wintervale. It was like a dream come true, having him with them. Sure, she was devastated about missing so many years of his life, but she was also thankful for the time they had with him now. Lily reached out to touch his cheek. “I’m happy too, my love,” she assured him. “He’s upstairs,” she nodded. “James! Harry’s here!” She yelled, knowing her husband was going to show up any second now.

Harry leaned his face into her hand gently for a brief moment, glad to be able to feel her touch. To be in the same room as her. Scooping her into a tight hug out of all the emotion, he grinned when she called out for her father. “He’s probably hiding from me,” Harry joked, letting go of his mother as he looked up towards the stairs and waited for his father to appear.

James was definitely not fixing his hair for the third time that morning. Nor he was admiring his reflection. Damn, he looked good for a dead guy. He grinned at himself, but then almost dropped his brush when he heard Lily’s scream. His eyes widened, his smile because even wider, and he quickly ran downstairs to meet his son. James couldn’t exactly describe all of his feelings. He could not describe that overwhelming love and joy when he found out about Harry. “Son,” he greeted the boy, or rather the man, and gave him a big hug. “Smelled the cookies, huh? It’s the Potter nose, I’m tellin’ ya,” he grinned.

“How could you not?” Harry grinned, squeezing his father back tightly before letting go. It was all pretty surreal. Seeing his parents again, let alone being able to hang out with them whilst being around the same age. It was hard to wrap his head around, but Harry wasn’t going to complain. “We were actually wondering if you wanted to join mum and I out in the snow?” Harry said with a smile, and then turned to his mum, “But we can get a few of those cookies first, no?”

“It’s a rink, it won’t fall,” Hermione said with a laugh, “Come on, it’s just like riding a bike.”

“You say that now, but you’ll be sorry when I step out onto that ice and end up breaking my neck,” Harry said dramatically. “I’m not sure why we’re doing this -- why are doing this, Hermione?”

“Why would I want to do that?” Noel’s voice had a hint of annoyance as he looked at the male. Building a snowman? That was childish. At least in his mind. “I am not really in to doing a whole Elsa and Anna thing and building a snowman.”

“You’d get along well with, Malfoy,” Harry grumbled, not sure if the other man had heard him. “Alright, it was worth a shot,” he said with a shrug, his curly hair bouncing. “Have a nice day I guess,” he added, turning away from him.

Kara giggled. She absolutely loved snow and was going to enjoy every minute of it. “Do you even have to ask?” She reached out for his hand and started running ahead till she reached a big pile of snow.

“I just thought I’d ask to be sure,” he grinned, taking her hand as they ran outside. “Man it’s snowing like crazy out here! I love it! I should’ve moved to Canada ages ago!” Harry beamed, beginning to roll up some snow into the base of their snowman.
