Summary: Arataki “Ever Oblivious to His Surroundings” Itto doesn’t realise you’re taking him on a date.
Pairing: Arataki Itto x Male Reader (No gendered terms used or described so take what you will)
Word Count: 2618
A/N: Dedicated to all my Itto mains out there, I have slowly gained in the confidence to start writing again. I hope you enjoy it!! Also how many Arataki “____” Itto can I fit into one fic.
“One more time.” He held his hands out towards you, a determined fire in his eyes. You rolled your eyes, you glanced over as a few restaurants started turning on the lanterns outside.
“Fine.” You mused, holding your hands out as well. A few people stared at you as you entered the tenth round of rock, paper, scissors. He’s lost every round so far, you found it cute the first few times, thinking he was losing on purpose so you could choose where you were going. Though by the sixth round you quickly realised that he was pulling the same thing whenever you won in cards. “One more round.” He said, leaving him with no more snacks to bet and sulking in the corner before you feel “too full” and give him half of your “hard earned” snacks.
“One more.” He groaned holding out scissors to your rock, you smiled a little annoyed. His fist rested on his palm once again. You crossed your arms, refusing to play again, you won fair and square after all. It’s what you’re owed. He looked at the ground, kicking his feet on nothing. He wasn’t Arataki “Make you feel bad for winning against him, but you can’t help it” Itto for nothing.
“Itto.” You warned, you just really wanted to eat now. You both have been standing there for the better part of 10 minutes playing this endless game. You were growing very impatient for this date.
“Just one more., please (Y/N)? Pretty please?” He begged, playing his puppy dog eyes on you, on any other occasion you would have given in, but you had a particular location in mind for your date. Uyuu Restaurant, you had saved up all of 2 weeks of odd jobs for Itto.
“Just admit I won.” You pat his shoulder in a comforting way, mockingly of course. He knew how to play his cards, but he always managed to give what he was hiding.
“Mhmmfine.” He finally gave in, sulking a little bit as you walked up the path toward Uyuu. He stopped a few times assuming that you were going to choose one of the usual spots, but your eyes were locked on your destination.
When you arrived at the doors, Itto looked like the blood had drained from face, the gang rarely ate here. It was expensive and for a short time Itto was banned. You urged him to join you inside. “Are you sure I’m even allowed in here anymore?” He whispered to you.
“Don’t worry, I checked and you’re all good. Here!” You pointed to the two lone bar stools in the back. “Perfect! I thought they might have been taken” You sit on the stool closest to the wall, waiting for service, Itto settling in next to you.
You both started talking as waited to be served, nothing too involved, just some ideas Itto had for the gang. Something about hitting the new “Mondstat tourist market” having met a strange green bard a few weeks back, advising him about the “True Mondstat Experience” before you could get too in depth about this new “business venture”. A server cleared his throat, looking at you.
“What can get you two?” He smiled, pointing above him for the menu.
“I’ll have a beer.” He said politely, trying not to disturb the buzzing atmosphere of the dinner hour.
“Make that two beers and some Tri-Flavored Skewers to start us off?” You looked at Itto for confirmation and he nodded warily, a little dizzy thinking about the bill already.
Before you had a chance to continue talking, there were two beers and a very delicious platter of skewers awaiting in front of you.
“A second round after we finish these?” You added, pointing at your drinks. The server nodded, continuing to take orders from the bar.
“Nothing better than beer and skewers” You said, bringing your hands together, rubbing them in anticipation. You grabbed one, tearing off a piece and sighing at how good it was. Couldn’t get this quality at a cheap bar outside the main city. Itto grabbed one and bit his fangs into it from the side, you intently stared at his teeth before looking away. You felt flushed and you hadn’t even touched your beer yet.
“So that bard, right? Voice of angel I swear. Almost fell asleep the minute he started a tale. Definitely not because it was boring, but that voice!” He added emphasis where needed, as animated as ever. “Something about him really draws you in.” He added, nodding as he took a huge sip of his beer. You nod along to his tale, only interjecting with questions about this mystery bard from Mondstat.
“Enough about what I’ve been doing, tell me where you’ve been? I haven’t seen you for more than a few minutes this last month.” He frowned, tilting his head to the side. You choked slightly on your drink, hoping he wouldn’t ask. You clear your throat with his eyes completely focused on you.
“I’ve been working mostly, keeping records for the warehouse while the festival was going on.” You feel slightly boring compared to Itto’s grand time at the festival, ending up in the hospital where you visited him the next day, flowers in hand and a small bag of his favourite candy.
“Run into some money trouble? The Arataki Gang always asks for help, remember that.” He was frowning again, this was more frowning than should usually happen on a date.
“No, nothing like that. I was just saving for this.” You said, looking away.
“For this?” He asked, still missing the point. “For dinner with you.” You added, blushing as you took another sip of beer for your nerves.
He nodded, turning to face the bar, waving the bartender down for refill, thanking the Archons that the beer seemed to hide blush. “For me?” He chuckled, somewhat humbly, flustered and flattered that one of his most trusted friends and members would go to such trouble.
“Yeah, for you.” You said softly. As if on cue, your server returned asking for your dinner orders. Without needing to ask Itto, you order Tonkotsu Ramen for him and Butter Crab for yourself, you deserved it.
“You don’t have…” He said, a little more shy than before. “I can just have the Udon Noodles, I don’t want you to spend that much.” He shook his head, his hands waving the suggested meal away. “Nonsense, it’s so good.” You smiled, sending the server on his way and getting your second refill.
You and Itto were practically drooling by the time the main course arrived, having had an extra beer each while chatting away. Itto thanked you profusely, declaring that he owes you next time before digging in. You started chewing away at the criminally delicious crab, the meat soft and buttery in the perfect way. You both enjoy yourselves, you try desperately not to disturb fellow customers every time Itto had you in stitches.
“And then you wouldn’t believe who I saw-” He whispered low against you mid story, sending shivers down your spine.
“Who?”
“General Kujou Sara was in line RIGHT next to me, I almost had a heart attack, thought I was trespassing the line for the limited Ms.Hina merch sale.” He added, still low in your ear, this voice was making you light-headed with the added beer.
“No.” You said, shocked. Itto’s eyes glinted, he loves telling stories and you would say right now in your buzzed state that he was better than whoever that bard was.
“Yes! Except she wasn’t in line for Ms.Hina like I was, but a limited Shogun figure!” He said, his facial expression exploding with the surprise he had on his face that day. You laughed, taking the final bite of your meal and finishing off your beer just after Itto had.
“That hit the spot.” You sigh, stretching and yawning. “Let me walk you home:” Itto laughed, asking for the bill, you nodded. This was probably the best first date you’ve had in a while. Itto felt a bit embarrassed looking at the sizable bill, watching you drop your hard earned money on a twenty five thousand mora meal. You just thanked your server, taking Itto by the arm to leave.
With full stomachs and hot cheeks you both left Uyuu, you suggested some dessert on the way back and Itto nodded pointing out a food stall with relatively cheap dango.
“Two Tricolor Dango, please!” You said, pulling out your wallet before Itto cleared his throat stepping in front of you.
“Let me cover this.” Itto interjected, pulling out some mora before you could even protest, giving the vendor the money. “You paid for dinner, let me cover it.” He took the dango from the vendor, turning to you with a smirk. “Wouldn't wanna tarnish my Arataki “Always the Gentlemen Even if He’s Kinda Broke Right Now” Itto reputation, would I now?” He said, handing you one of the tri-color dango.
You moved your party down to the taller walls around the food stall, sitting together with your feet dangling. Itto nudged you to look over at him.
“Thank you for dinner, (Y/N). Don’t remember the last time it was just us.” He said before taking one of the spheres into his mouth in one go, chewing away happily. “It was a good time, Haha!” He laughed, cheeks full of dessert. You took a bite as well, chewing and swallowing unlike the oni.
“It really was a nice date, Itto. Thank you” You add look up at him for a moment, the moon reflecting in your eyes. You look away bashfully, chewing your dessert much less loudly than the big oni next to you. Regardless of the hiccups, it was a lovely day you recall. No one seemed to make you laugh as much or made you feel as safe as he did, it was only natural to finally ask him out. When you looked back at him, his cheeks were full of his second treat already, his eyebrows raised in shock.
“Thifs wath a dae?” Itto asked, mouthful of dango, he swallowed hard. “Archons. This was a date.” He repeated to him, a deep blush settling on his cheeks. He felt suddenly embarrassed by his usual behaviour. If he knew this was a date, he would’ve doubled the Arataki “Hopeless Romantic, but refuses to admit it even to himself” Itto charm, maybe bought you flowers and not insisted on winning the stupid rock, paper, scissors match. “Why didn’t you tell me??” He abandoned his last dango next to him, turning to you and taking your hands in his.
“I thought you knew” You laughed a little, your clear amusement making him even more embarrassed. “I did say “Hey, you want to go out for dinner?” and when you were already running to invite the entire gang, I stopped you.” Itto bowed his head down to hide his face in your hands, now very aware of your implications earlier that day. “I’m an idiot.” He whined against your hands, you could feel how hot his face was.
“Hey you’re not an idiot, I should’ve been more clear.” You lift his face up to stare into his fiery red eyes. “Why don’t we start from scratch?” You smiled softly, watching his expression change from, frankly, cute sadness to hopefulness. “You really wanna still go out with me after this?” He searched your eyes and you laughed to yourself, he really was the sweetest (and only) oni you’ve ever met. “Now you’re being an idiot, of course I do.” His demeanour lightens up, grabbing your hands excitedly. He stood up and dragged you along with him which wasn’t hard considering how goddamn strong he is.
“Hey! Slow down, big guy” You gasp as he marches with determination you’ve only seen in the toughest of beetle battles, you resign to your fate, being dragged through the streets of Inazuma City. You whip past closed restaurants and stalls, the city quiet, save a few cicadas in the late summer air.
“Here.” He stopped, letting you go finally. You rub your arm a little, frowning before you look in front of you, Itto smiling proudly as you look over the calm water. “What do you think?” He shrunk into himself after you didn’t say anything, scratching the back of his neck. “Itto, I-” It was beautiful, you didn’t quite have the words to say, so you sat down on the ground. You urged him to join, patting the spot next to you.
“This is beautiful. I don’t think I’ve been here this late.” Your hands are glued to your lap, afraid to make things weird for the oni, though he seemed content just sitting there together. “I come here to think a lot..” He stared up at the moon, relaxing with you in his presence, letting his usual mask slip. “Just about things, ya know? Life, Granny, The boys… You.” He admitted the last thing while staring at the ground, careful not to let you see how flustered he was. “You’re surprisingly introspective.” You chuckled softly and in a moment of confidence you slipped your hand to his.
“I hope you have no complaints about me!” You blurted nervously, laughing stiffly toward the end. “No, no.” He laughed too, the vibrations landing deep in your chest. “All good things. Promise.” He squeezed your hand and looked at you, a wide grin on his face.
Watching the eternal cherry blossoms fall into the water, you sat silently together. Probably for the first time since you met Arataki Itto, he had nothing to say. He was just happily watching the small cat across the water play with the floating blossoms on the water, his thumb rubbing small circles around yours.
“Itto?” You turned to him, putting your other hand over his, trying to grab his attention,
“Hm?” He questioned, not taking his eyes off the moon, his red eyes holding a beautiful reflection in them.
“This not-date-date was great.” He nodded, keeping his eyes fixed on the sky, the stars more visible since you arrived here, you took your hand away making him frown a little, but you cupped his face bringing him closer. He held his breath as you forced him to face you, his eyes darting around your face. “What’s u-up? Something on my face or somethin’?” He said nervously, you rolled your eyes, facing your body toward him.
“Can I kiss you?” You asked, his eyes lit up, his mouth about 2 seconds too fast for his brain as he nodded. “Am I dead? Did the Shogun strike me down finally? I think I might be in heaven!” He rushed through his sentence, dramatically holding his hand to chest to feel his heartbeat.
“Shut up and just kiss me, idiot.” You smile and roll your eyes, you give him a chaste peck on the lips before he pulls you in deeper, humming into it as you locked lips. He felt warm as he snaked his arm around your wait, pulling you close to him.
You squeaked in surprise when he lifted you up, putting you on his lap, hugging you tight. “Never wanna leave.” He murmured into your chest as he engulfed you. You kissed the base of one of his horns, Itto hummed in content, melting into you.
You stayed like that for a while before a chill settled over the night, you going to tough time explaining to Shinobu why you both were out this late without telling anyone, but why worry when Arataki “Officially Numero Uno in Your Heart” Itto was rubbing circles into your back?
i love your work!! can we please have gremlin inumaki who has a crush and just loves to mess up with reader to get their attention?
YES YOU MOST DEFINITELY CAN!!
gremlin inumaki is my favorite ever
he’s a tiny little menace to society
when he has a crush on you (wether he realizes it or not) he’ll annoy you 24/7 to get your attention
i said this in the play fighting fic, VIOLENT BEHAVIOR (affectionate). like he will not hurt you but damn, he WILL fight you. imagine him always having his collar down around you so he can bite you when you least expect it (as a fellow biter, i see you inumaki).
imagine maki and panda noticing he always has his collar down around you because he feels so comfortable with you, they don’t even wanna tease him about it because they they find it so wholesome.
at some point you don’t even question his little gremlin attacks. you’re talking to someone (and definitely not in jealousy) he’ll step in between you and bite your shoulder. you don’t even flinch before wrapping your arm around him and pulling him into you by the waist. you lean down into his face and whisper a little “hello there.” and then continue with your previous conversation as your little gremlin cuddles into you, satisfied with the attention and blushing into your shoulder.
he was always very touchy even before he discovered he had a crush on you. and you learned to just go along with whatever he wants to you. sometimes he’ll bite or kick you a little (not hard but enough to get your attention) and you’ll pout at him like “that’s not nice :(“ and he’ll immediately cuddle into you as if you’re actually upset and don’t let go until you pat his hair (and sometimes even longer).
also also inumaki has cat/dog behavior where he will always find a way to lay on top of you, no matter how much space there is. if you’re just laying on the couch and scrolling on your phone, expect him to come into the room and lay flat on you then slide his head under your hands so you have to hug him. don’t expect him to explain himself either “what are you doing?” “tuna mayo.” “understandable, have a great day.”
he will be requiring you to carry him places all the time. it’s such a common occurrence to see him hanging on your back like a backpack no one even questions it anymore. not even panda senpai has enough jokes.
also loves little pranks to get your attention. if there is you and a marker around him, you’re not leaving with clean skin. there will a penis and a variety other mildly inappropriate drawings all over your arms. oh and if you’re sleeping? there is no way you’ll wake up without a drawn on mustache and beard.
he’s also definitely the friend that slaps your ass whenever you pass by. for no reason at all. if you’ll slap his ass though he’ll get so fake offended, he’ll be looking up at you like you killed his whole family.
Hello folks. Here’s another tipping update for you.
We are rolling out blog-level tipping for iOS and web today. This is a win-win—if you’re a fan of someone’s blog and forever loving their content and creations, well, you can tell them how much you like their style. If you’re a creator, you can receive monetary appreciation from your peers via tipping, well, just for being you.
What?
You can now enable tipping for your blog for web and iOS in your profile or blog view, following the launch of post-level on web and international tipping recently. This will be good news for creators, as it permits tipping at blog level without tying the tip to a specific post. This is especially important for those concerned about fan art, for example. You can find the option to gift your favorites a sweet little something directly in their blog view header, beneath their avatar. We are currently working on this feature for Android too, and it will launch soon.
How?
It’s simple—you can share your blog’s tipping URL at: /blog/view/Your-Blog’s-name/tip.
To enable tipping at blog level…
Sign up for tipping. Here’s how.
The tip button will then become available in the blog view header.
To tip at blog level…
View a blog.
On web, select “Tip” in the blog view header. On mobile, tap “Support”.
From here, you can select how much you’d like to gift.
And that, friends, as they say, is that.
Any questions? Then please drop us a line on @wip or Support, and keep an eye out for more on @changes.
@wip @support What's Tumblr's cut of each tip? I can't find that information anywhere which to me is really suspicious honestly. How much do you take? What's the fee or percentage?
Also, what about if people already use other tipping services that work outside of Tumblr - Paypal.me, Kofi, StreamElements, Patreon, etc. Are those suddenly not going to be allowed on Tumblr? Are people going to start getting flagged or banned for having external tipping services on their blogs?
Too much information is missing for me to trust this.
hey guys, im not dead haha. no harry potter atm, but enjoy this reiner fic since i got into aot again.
Summary: Reiner comes back to Marley to find you moved on, inspired by drunk wqalk home by mitski
Pairing: Reiner Braun x Male Reader
Word Count: 1794
Warning: alcohol usage, general depression, a lot of trauma, most of it surrounding reiner.
The fog faded into the cool night as he stumbled home, the streets were empty sparing a few fellow drunkards. He was angry and confused as the alcohol wrecked through his system.
He was nothing more than a tool. A fool stuck in this mess he created. He wanted to scream, cry and crawl his way out of the shallow grave he was forced into. The two sides of him fighting to conquer his will, how could he live with himself when all he wanted was you.
He swayed side to side as he walked through the dimly lit streets of Marley. He never wanted to return to this place, not when you were here. How could you be so stupid?! He thought to himself as he stopped to lean against a wall, throwing up what he thought might have been all his inner demons if he didn’t know any better.
He wanted nothing more than to return to you. To kiss you and love you, hold you tight like he should’ve. What he wanted more was to leave this fucking hell with you by his side, but what a fucking fool he was. How could he expect you to pause your life for him? How could he have not predicted you would’ve thought he was dead by now? A faded memory from your past you wished to forget.
He had scanned for your face in the crowd when he came home, but you weren’t there. His family greeted him with tears and hugs, but he couldn’t stop peering over their shoulders to catch a glimpse of your face anywhere. He had asked around and discovered where you had gone to when he left, but no one would look him in the eyes when he asked what you were doing now. So as cruel fate would have it, he knocked on your door.
You answered, looking older and wiser, yet he could see you under it all. A scared kid, hugging him tight as you begged him not to go. Though now you stared at him with wide eyes and a small toddler in your arms. He couldn’t breathe as you smiled, small tears in your eyes upon hearing about his return. He couldn’t say a word as many spilled from your lips. The toddler growing restless in your arms as you cut the conversation short, suggesting to meet at a later date to properly catch-up.
He hadn’t been gone that long had he? He must’ve been imagining it when your wife came to take the toddler out of your arms for rest or when she kissed your cheek to let you know dinner was gonna be ready soon, asking who your friend was.
Though through it all you smiled, like you were happy to see him, like you couldn’t see the blackhole forming in his chest once only a small missing piece from his life. You looked awkward having to carry the short conversation when he couldn’t get a word in.
“I’m so glad you came home safe” You smiled again and his eyes were burning. He never knew you could smile this much, he couldn’t have known you would smile this much. You had to know how long he waited to see it again because you couldn’t stop treating him to your smile. “I’ll have to come see you soon, okay? A new bakery opened on that street we used to play in. It has the most delicious pies you’ll ever see! I have to go now. Are you okay, Reiner?” You said his name and all his emotions bubbled you at once and before he knew it tears were streaming down his face, blurring his vision.
“That sounds great. I’ll have to check that out.” Reiner said, tears falling onto his jacket. He then turned around on his heel, walking away.
Now here he was walking down the same road. He would never be free. He wasn’t sure of where he was going, but every turn he took drew him closer to you. He thought about how he was finally allowed to be here, where you were. His armband earned him that, but didn’t earn him you. He could see your door now in his drunken vision, right in front of him in fact. Burning his brain with the thoughts of you standing there, begging him to stay this time and then he knocked.
He regretted it, regretted every choice he had made up to this point. He considered taking off in the opposite direction, running as fast as his drunken state would allow and never seeing you again, but as his body reacted to his thought, you opened the door.
“Reiner? What are- what are you doing here this late?” You said, worried as he struggled to hold himself up. His legs had almost bucked beneath when he saw you. “I-“ Was all he could say before he was on his knees in front of you, he looked confused and angry. He looked like he was holding on by a thread.
“I don’t know.” He said as he looked up at you. Reiner looked like a scared child in that moment, his eyes glossed over with a sad emptiness you didn’t remember being there. “Are you okay? What’s wrong?” You immediately fussed over him, checking him. He smelled like cheap booze and cigarette smoke. He was definitely not okay.
“I’m fine” He simply said, looking at his hands. They burned with his guilt and sadness. He was tired. “Do you need help getting home? I could get my coat and tell (girl name) to make sure (toddler’s name) is okay. I don’t mind.” You quickly got into action and it made his hands burn hotter. “I’m fine” He repeated in the same tone. “You are clearly not.” You fought back, bringing him inside to sit down on a stool. “Stay here.” You commanded and he obeyed as you walked away.
His thoughts ran circles around his brain as you walked away. Why did he do this? Coming to you in the middle of the night and disturbing your family. It hadn’t even been a month since he saw you that day. “Okay. Here.” You put a coat on him, it was definitely the alcohol, but he didn’t feel how cold it was.
“I need you.” Your heart skipped a beat as you pulled his arm around your shoulder, you hoped he couldn’t hear your heartbeat. “Let’s just get you home, okay?” “Okay.”
Reinwr walked through the empty city once, the previous drunks seemed to have gone back to their homes and you two were the last people out this late. Reiner looked sick and left your side to puke up more of his demons. You helped him up again. The cool air and the fog made it the prettiest night with no one else in sight.
You arrived at his door, the lights still on from when he left. The room is simple with a small kitchen off the side and a kettle. Tea. Tea was a good idea, you helped him take the coat off and sit down at the stools surrounding the small table next the kitchen. The room looked too blank, no personal items around, no decorations, only one dead flower in an empty vase.
You made tea with Reiner’s eyes burning into the back of your head. Reiner thought you were the prettiest person alive in this moment, dimly lit by the candle light. You were here right now, when he needed you. You were here.
You finished the tea and sat next to him, drinking it in silence together. A lot of things were left unsaid to this point. Things neither of you wanted to spill sober, but Reiner wasn’t sober right now. “I cant-“ He tried to say, but the words caught in his throat, willing his tears away. You looked towards him and saw the determined look on his face.
“I can’t live without you.” Reiner said, blankly. He was going to regret a lot of the things he did here tonight. “What?” “I said I can't live with you.” He repeated more clearly like you just didn’t hear him. “I’m quite sure you can” You laughed it off and he grew more desperate. “No… I can’t. I can’t live without you… here. You don’t understand.” He held his arms out to you as you laid him down to sober up.
He reached to your face and both your hearts stopped. You never imagined he was alive and he never imagined he’d live to see your face again. “I can't do this with you, Reiner. I can… never do this with you.” You said, your throat catching the last few words. Reiner was broken and in his drunken thoughts, you were the only glue he needed to fix himself. “This time I thought maybe we just didn’t have to tell anyone what we do.” Reiner whispered and you were the first to break.
You gently put your lips to his, forgetting every vow you took as his lips fit perfectly with yours. It wasn’t fair how perfect they fit as he deepened the kiss. Nothing would last forever, but this moment felt like it could. “I’m sorry I never tried to stay for you.” “I’m sorry I never tried harder to make you stay.”
You both did things you regretted that night. Reiner held you and kissed you like he’d never get to taste you ever again. He kissed you deeply and beautifully as the sunlight broke through the windows. Not for a single moment did he stop to think about ever letting you like he had so long again.
As you both laid there, Reiner’s arms holding your frame, you felt him shake with sobs looking at you. You didn’t say anything, how could you even imagine what he had gone through up until now.
“You’re here… you’re really here with me.” He cried out as you pulled him closer to you, holding him. He held you in return, clinging onto you like you were the last safe place he had left in the world. “Everything is wrong.” He sobbed, his breath growing heavy and his head shook in your hands. All you could do was stroke the broken man’s hair, shushing him until he could breathe again. “I’m here.” You said against your better judgment. You wouldn’t be here for him always. You couldn’t. aot
attack on ti
You watched him carefully as he slowly fell asleep in your arms, his breath evening out as his shoulder rose and fell with every breath. You clearly got up, putting on the clothing you had and taking your belongings with you.
after the last t*mblr update i have noticed my fics have been performing significantly worse. i went from at least 400 notes to less than ten on my last three posts. this is seriously damaging my will to write. i have over a thousand followers and it seems that none of you are actually seeing my posts on your dash. please, please, please turn on your notifications for my posts or there is just a chance you won’t see them at all. im not sure what ill do if this situation doesn’t change- t*mblr is my favourite site to write on but i genuinely have the energy to write a fic i know no-one will see… i am considering switching over to AO3 or some other page if the situation here doesn’t improve.
please feel free to dm/inbox me if you have any thought on this situation <3
you took a deep breath and looked at him for an uncomfortable few seconds “i love you.” spilled from your mouth and he just melts. he melts and peppers your face with kisses, holding your hands in his own and now that the words have been spoken he can’t stop saying it. he’s the type of guy who’s patient, in his mind he had basically decided he loved you the first time you kissed. now with the words that were coming out of your mouth (which he gladly waited for.) he wanted to kiss you more and more and more.
Kugisaki Nobara:
she would probably need a minute to process what you said. she’s thought about it before, but is unsure if how you feel will end up hurting her more. she asks you to repeat so many times before she feels comfortable saying it back and that’s an even more special moment. when you wake up, looking over at her, muttering a little “i love you so much” and having her mumble back a half flustered “i love you too” very quickly before pecking your cheek and getting up to run for breakfast with a red on her cheeks.
Fushiguro Megumi:
he’s unsure how to feel. he wants to say it back, valid how you feel about him. he works himself into knots trying to figure out a way to say it back and a way to make sure you’re not hurt. he didn’t think just to tell you he wasn’t ready first. he didn’t want to put that on you, but now having avoided you for days, he abruptly stops you in a hallway of some kind, corning you. “i like you a lot!” he says quickly all at once, looking away as to not face your disappointment in him. you however grab his hand softly. “you don’t have to say it back… whenever you’re ready, okay?” he nods very quickly and just as abruptly as he corned you, he’s already down the hallway. smiling to himself as he stared forward a little spaced out at how amazing you are.
Gojo Satoru:
you were in bed, his dangly arms wrapped around you when you turned to face up at him, both your mostly bare skin touching and you tiredly whisper an “i love you.” as you yawn, cuddling closer to him. you’re sound asleep before he can even react appropriately and there he lays, you in his arms as he stares at the ceiling, as he questions every life decision he ever made. he had come to a conclusion as you slept soundly. he would go… again. yeah, he thought. it was a great idea. he had clearly overstayed his usual time with someone and it was about time to leave anyway… then he started thinking why it was time to go? or why he had stayed so long with you? usually he was dating 5 different people who eventually found out about each other and that took care of that, but he can’t think of any recent date he had that wasn’t you or the last time he had checked the dating apps he so conveniently removed from his home screen after that one particular night with you. he looked at you again and smiled, kissing your head gently. he sighed with content and nervousness as he muttered “i love you too.” at your unconscious mind.
Nanami Kento:
it was casual, almost too causal. you had been living together, for convenience of course. you both told yourselves. he needed a roommate and you needed a place to live… and then you needed a workspace and he needed an office and suddenly you shared a bed. more space efficient of course. the sex was just a plus to whatever relationship you had. it was fine if you cuddled after, aftercare was just as important. you could both use the physical touch and conversations and meals and… it slipped out when he walked into the room, grabbing his cuff links when you looked sleepily at him. “have a good day at work, love you” you yawned, rubbing your eyes. “thank you. i will. love you too, bye.” and just like that both of you had barely been realised that your relationship had progressed. not until he came home later in the evening and you were a nervous wreck and he looked a little more tired than usual. “i didn’t mean we-“ “of course it was just polite.” “yes. we haven’t become more or less than we were before.” “yes.” the end note was kind of disappointing for both of you. though when you both laid in bed that night, a steamy session knocked out, your minds drifted to it again. the morning came and you woke up to him getting dressed. “morning” you smiled, rubbing sleep out of your eyes. “good morning, i was just on my way… i’ll see you later of course. love you, bye.” he said a little stiffly, testing the waters. “of course, love you too” you said, throwing the covers over you again. he smiled to himself, moving to give you a kiss on the forehead before heading out.
