Does it bother you that JKR is putting so much money into hurting trans people and you engaging with the HP series contributes to that? Not to mention the racism and antisemitism in the series itself

Tbh I am just not engaging with it all, the only reason she has “power” in these situations is because people give her the time of day and interact.

In regards to the series, I do think it’s necessary to consider that it was written prior to major movements that have occurred in recent years - that have allowed more people more aware of particular issues within society such as under representation. I think it is also pragmatic to view it as a children’s book. Yeah there’s issues, but no one is ever going to be happy either. I dunno I just let myself enjoy the books and not think too deeply about it all due to the fact that it is a children’s book essentially.

But everyone is entitled to their views and considerations on the matter - that is just mine. I just prefer to stay out of it all
