harry potter’s real soulmate was ron weasley. ron was the first friend of his age he ever had, magical AND muggle. harry chose ron, time and time again, from the first day he met him. harry grew up in a physically and mentally abusive household, but in the entire series his misery is described in the most detail when ron wasn’t talking to him. harry himself says that the worst time of his life as when ron wasn’t talking to him. ron was the one person harry would miss most if he was gone during the triwizard tournament. ron left behind his entire family to help harry fight the losing fight. they went into the ministry together as aurors, just like they had going into everything in hogwarts. he even married ron’s sister and became his family, legally. harry loved ron.

There's something so special and sad about the idea of Teddy Lupin, who never met his parents, and so spends his life morphing to look more like the people he loves.

Switching on the muggle unicorn night light, Ron crosses the dim lit bedroom. "Mummy will be back before I wake up, right?" Kiara asks, pulling her purple (lilac. If said otherwise, Kiara would lecture you similar to her Aunt Hermione) up to her chin. Ron hums, the mattress dips as Ron sits on the edge of the bed.

"As long as those stuffy old professors don't keep her for themselves." Kiara giggle, her arm snakes out from underneath her blanket to squeeze his hand. "Don't worry, mummy will escape their evil clutches. She always comes," Kiara yawns, using her other hands to rub her red eyes. "She always comes home."

The corner of his mouth gently tugs upwards as he leans down, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "That she does. Sweet dreams Princess." Kiara smiles sleepily at him. "Night Ron. I love you." Ron freezes, his heart lurches into his throat. "Yeah?" Ron says after a minute, vision blurry. Kiara nods, eyes fluttering shut. "Well I love you too."

The house was dark as expected when you came home before the sun was still hours from rising. You quietly kick your shoes off and place your bag on the couch before sneaking down the hall, carefull avoiding the creaky boards.

You poke your head into Kiara's room, smiling as her soft snores fill the four walls. Shaking your head, across the room to place a soft cast her for head. "Good night sweetheart, I love you."

Much to your surprise, light poured from underneath the bedroom door. You open the door hesitantly, frowning at the site of Ron pacing. "Ron? Why are you still awake? You should be sleeping. You open the store tomo-" your voice trailed off as you catch a glimpse of his blood shot eyes. "Oh honey, tell me what happened? Is it your mum?" Ron shakes his head. "Nothing bad. Just Kiara," At the sound of your daughter’s name, your whole body tenses, as if you had not just seen her. "What? Was she bad? Did she do that thing we talked about? Merlin, Ron I'm sorry-" He cut you off by pulling you to a tight hug. "She told me she love me." You pulls back, eyes wide as you hands rest against his chest, feeling the way his heart raced under your palm. "S..she did?" He nods, eyes watering once again. "Is that okay?" You ask quietly, stomach twisted into a tight knot. Ron chuckles, resting his forehead against yours. "Yeah. Bloody hell of course. I love her too."

By now, your tears run freely down your cheeks. He loved her. He, Ronald Billius Weasley, loved your daughter despite her not being his.

Ron's hand rests against your cheek, thumb gently brushing your skin. His crystal blue eyes search yours, smiling as he finds whatever he was looking for. "I love my girls, both of them."
