"Regulus wouldn't listen to that" "Lily would never say that" "James Potter wouldn't wear that" THIS IS A FANDOM WHERE EVEBODY IS COLLECTIVELY BULLSHITTING AND ALL TGE CHARACTRRS ARE PRACTICALLY COMMUNAL OCs JUST LET PEOPLE BE HAPPY
when regulus proposed to james (bcs he absolutely planned an intricate day out for it) the ring was silver, and james looked at reg and said "did you get the rings mixed up? silver is your colour." and regulus replies "exactly."
James had a silver ring with a star engraved underneath and reg had a gold one with a sun <3

âWe need a family meeting,â James announced loudly, gesturing wildly to Sirius and Remus and they walked in the dorm room.
Remus groaned. âWish you wouldnât call it that,â he said, dumping his bag on his bed and joining James and Peter in a little circle on the floor. âMakes it extra weird that Sirius and I are dating.â
âEh, well, I mean, with my familyâs history, Iâm just living up to expectations, arenât I? If my boyfriendâs also related to me?â Sirius chuckled, moving to sit next to Remus
âGonna be ex-boyfriend in a moment,â Remus grumbled, but he was chuckling under his breath.
âCan we focus? I need you lot to look at this,â James demanded, voice businesslike as he brandished a letter for the three others to look at.
Peter, Sirius, and Remus all leaned over the parchment, only for Sirius to recoil almost immediately. âUrgh! Is this from Reg? Merlin, thereâd better not be anything gross in there!â
âThereâs not! Not that bad!â James whined, narrowing his eyes. âPlus, itâs the first bit I need you all to look at! Look!â He pointed to the first line. ââDear, James.â What in the bloody hell is that?â he asked, jabbing his finger at the punctuation.
âWell that, dear Prongs, is a comma,â Remus said mildly, rolling his eyes.
The look James threw him was murderous. âBut there! Does it not imply that heâs not just addressing the letter to me but heâs saying Iâm dear to him? Likeâlike, he likes me? As more than a friend?â
Three pairs of slightly incredulous eyes stared at him.
âListen, mate, Iâll give you the fact that itâs a bit odd for Reggie to be so formal in a letter, and it freaks all of us out that he voluntarily spends time with you, but I feel like youâre reading a little into itââ Sirius began, gentle voice wavering with humor.
âBut he put the comma after dear!â James exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air.
âI meanâŚyeah,â Remus murmured, clearly unconvinced.
âCould be,â Peter nodded, also obviously underwhelmed.Â
âYouâll see. Youâll all see!â the Gryffindor said wildly, tucking the letter into his shirt pocket.
â
Earlier that dayâŚ
âHm. Comma after dear?â Pandora asked slyly, looking over Regulusâs shoulder as he wrote.Â
The Slytherin turned bright red, refusing to look up from his letter. âFuck off. Itâs not like heâll know the difference.â
âSure, Reggie. Sure.â

Itâd all happened so quickly. Mind fuzzy with Butterbeer and adrenaline, Barty had grabbed the boyâs arm from behind, spinning him around and kissing him before heâd gotten a good look at his face. In his defense, heâd really thought it was Adam, the boy heâd been snogging on and off for weeks. Really.Â
But as soon as their lips connected, he knew heâd made a mistake.
It was Evan. His Evan.
He should have pulled back. Apologized. Slunk off into the night and never spoken of it again.
He didnât.Â
Inhaling like it was the first time heâd ever gotten a proper breath, he instead pressed closer, wrapping his arms âround the back of Evanâs neck, molding his body to the taller boyâs. This was what Evan tasted like. He suddenly realized heâd been wondering for so long.
And, to his utter joy, the taller boy groaned, grabbing him by the waist, turning him around and pressing him into a nearby wall.Â
âRosie,â he whined, eyelids fluttering shut, head falling back to lean on stones as Evan began devouring his neck.
It was, hands down, the best mistake heâd ever made.

Shaking with both fear and anger, James tripped through the crowds of whispering students to the Slytherin table, only to stop in front of a shockingly unbothered-looking Regulus. He dropped a copy of The Daily Prophet in front of the younger boy and gave him his best apologetic wince. âReg, I need you to knowâŚI swear it wasnât me.â
Regulus, who was in the middle of a conversation with Barty Crouch, turned slowly to face James and glanced up at him before opening the Prophet. He seemed utterly unsurprised to find a picture of himself and James at the bottom of the first page, the headline Only Remaining Black Heir Giving Up His Duties to Date a Man? splashed boldly there.
James watched nervously, waiting for Regulusâs ire.
But the younger boy just tilted his head and raised an eyebrow at the accompanying photo, tracing a finger over it before looking up. âHuh. They didnât use the one I thought they would.â
James felt his brain short-circuit. âYouâwhat?â he stammered.
âYes, I sent in a few of us, but I really thought theyâd use the one from after I beat you in that Quidditch match last week. You know the one?â Regulus asked blandly, turning to Barty for acknowledgement when James just stared blankly. Barty nodded with a grin. âYes, well. As you can see, they went in a different direction. But the intent is still there.â
Still, James was trying to catch up. âYou okayed this?â he asked, feeling like heâd tripped into a different universe somehow.
Regulus sent him a smirk. âYes, Potter. My cousin found out about us and decided that blackmail was an intelligent idea. So, of course, I had to head that off. Plus, this way, I donât have to go home for the holidays. Youâll have me, yes?â
âIâfuck, yeah, of course,â he spluttered, beaming madly.
âGood. Now, if youâll excuse me, I have to continue this conversation with Barty about the merits of acid-based poisons,â Regulus said with a small, satisfied smile, turning back to his friend.
So, chest filling like a balloon, James turned to go, reaching for the paper as he did. But before he could grab it, Regulusâs hand slammed down on top of it. âIâm keeping it,â he said lightly, giving him a small smile.
Oh, it was the best day of Jamesâs life.
James: So, babe, I was thinking about a fall or summer wedding, since I don't want it to be coldâ
Regulus: James, we're not engaged.
James, slams hand on table: THAT'S what I forgot to do last night!
i feel like remus is actually an absurdly good kisser. like olympic level. sirius has no idea because remus never talks about this kind of thing, heâs just there being quiet and bookish and mysterious, like âoh iâve never done much of anything,â so sirius just assumes heâs shy or inexperienced. fool
when they finally kiss for the first time itâs game over. sirius immediately ascends, and like, his brain just fully exits the chat. knees weak, head empty, just oh. remusâ hands are gentle but his mouth is devastating: he nips at siriusâ bottom lip, kisses it again to soothe, does this lazy thing with his tongue that makes siriusâ eyes roll back so hard heâs pretty sure he just saw god and he looks suspiciously like remus lupin
and then remus pulls back all pink and polite like âwas that alright?â and sirius is just standing there holding onto the wall like. alright? sir i have a few things to say

James had just arrived back to the flat he was sharing with Remus and Sirius when he heard a shout of laughter from the other room.
âDonât be thick,â Regulus was drawling confidently at Sirius when James walked in.
Jamesâs stomach flipped slightly as he looked over to the younger man. He was sprawled on the armchair, his limbs spread, his gray eyes sparkling with mirth as he glanced towards James, then back to his brother. Even the split second of their eyes locking was enough to send Jamesâs heart into a frenzy, his blood pumping fast and his body growing hot. Merlin, Regulus was perfect.
â...height has nothing to do with length,â Regulus continued casually, jolting James out of his slightly-adoring reverie.Â
It took everything in him not to gape at the nonchalance of the conversation. âErâŚwhat?â James asked, blinking rapidly.
âI was just saying that thereâs got to be aâŚwhatâs the word? Correlation,â Sirius explained from his seat on the couch. âBetween, yâknowâŚheight,â he held a hand, palm down, above the ground, âand length!â He held two hands, palms facing together, about a foot apart. âBecause, for example, Moonyâs taller, and his is also bigger, right?â
Still shocked, James looked helplessly to Remus, who just shrugged. For someone who usually got a bit red at such conversations, he seemed very unbothered.
âAlright, but Evan is taller than Barty, and Bartyâs is bigger,â Regulus argued with a shake of his head and a wave of his hand.
âYouâve measured Bartyâs?â James asked slightly-hysterically, feeling like he was going mad.
Regulus gave him an odd look, his eyes narrowing for a moment before widening again, amusement shining there. Then he shrugged. âHe doesnât hide much.â
James wasnât sure how he felt about that.
âWhat about you, Potter? Youâre tall. How long is yours?â the younger man asked with a quirk of his eyebrow and a half-smirk, still laying rather suggestively on the chair.
He felt like he was about to melt into the floor. âI..erm..â His eyes flickered to a shockingly calm Sirius, then back again, â...dunno, likeâŚ8 inches, maybe?â
âWaitâŚwhat?â Sirius asked confusedly, but Regulus began to smile wider.
âYeah, erâŚnot that I regularly measureâŚâ
âOnly eight? Nah, Iâve held it before, surely itâs notââ Sirius began, face full of disbelief.
This was around the time James began to feel like he was missing something. âYouâPadfoot, you have not held my prick! And eight inches is far above average, thankââ
âWe were talking about wands! LikeâŚlike the wooden tool!â Remus interrupted, a horrified look on his face.
The whole room went quiet, and James was sorely tempted to run screaming.
Until Regulus said smugly. âEight inches though, hm?â
And then James didnât feel that embarrassed anymore.
