The image zooms in on the wreckage.
The glass cylinder is obliterated. Thick, jagged black spikes protrude from within.
“One body—believed to be the army’s leader—was found suspended inside the remains of the structure. Officials state the body was impaled by multiple black, spear-like protrusions. One spike appears to have pierced directly through the chest.”
The studio falls quiet for a brief second.
“There were no signs of conventional weapon fire in the immediate area. Instead, investigators report extensive claw and bite marks on many of the victims.”
The camera switches to a live correspondent standing in Tokyo’s Shibuya district, crowds gathering around large outdoor screens.
“Here in Japan, reactions are pouring in. The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement expressing concern and requesting further clarification from Norwegian authorities. Defense analysts are reportedly monitoring the situation closely.”
The correspondent lowers her voice slightly.
“What makes this even more disturbing is how the scene was discovered. Officials confirm it was not military reconnaissance—but a wandering young woman hiking through the region.”
Cut to a blurred interview clip. The young woman’s voice trembles, translated into Japanese subtitles.
“I thought it was a crashed facility… I saw shapes in the snow… then I saw the spikes… and the bodies… I ran.”
The feed cuts back to the studio.
“Authorities say the woman was found in a state of extreme distress and is currently receiving medical care. Her identity has not been released for privacy reasons.”
A graphic appears on screen:
