okay so… i’ve noticed a bit of a pattern where it’s become harder for me to bounce back from when my mental health dips (trying to heal and cope while you’re still in the same toxic environment is … frankly illogical but i can’t change that any time soon soooo….)

kind of an embarrassing little vent ahead but also for those who want a "too long don't read" summary: 1) i'm so drained all the time but i love y'all dontforgetaboutmepls and 2) i wanna get back to creating asap (still creating! just super slowly)

.... right so, while i know i don’t owe anyone art (i create because i love it), this little corner of the yellowjackets fandom, especially the taivan-loving part of it, has become something i hold close. the friendships ( and the connections i’ve tried to nurture since i first joined the fandom), the late-night conversations, the way people show up for each other here… it's been really special.

i’ve been hinting here and there about life being a lot lately, and the truth is, it’s been a lot for a long time (… let’s be real, we are all going through some shit lmao) i guess for me, i think it's the mental illness of it all that i can’t always stay on top of. there’s a sort of vicious cycle going on, it's hard to break out of it

i miss the way i felt when i first joined yj — when art felt lighter, when my relationship with creating wasn’t so deeply tied to my mental health. i want to find my way back to that. i want you to know, even when i’m quiet, even when i disappear for a bit (not planning to right now!) this community matters to me. i’m grateful for every one of you who’s been part of this little corner we’ve built together.
