music is always a heavy influence to me besides design, Nic Hamilton has done a brilliant job at connecting the two
Canapenny
5 - day advertising project
In pairs we were given a product that we had to sell to our allocated target audience. Amy Shortis and I were given ‘foodies’ as our target audience and we had to make them value the 1 p coin over any other penny.
We did so by creating food that cost exactly 1p to make. we used instagram as our marketing platform because we felt that it is the best place for foodies to view it.
“British based designers inspiring foodies across the nation with our one penny canapés.” “Reinventing the penny to create a selection of our finest Canapenny's costing £0.01 each”

Wim Crouwel Type Animations - by Spin
“Produced as part of the Wim Crouwel exhibitionHeld at the Design Museum in London 'Wim Crouwel - A Graphic Odyssey' is the first major retrospective of Wim Crouwel's work.'The show, guest curated by Tony Brook of Spin in collaboration with Design Museum curator Margaret Cubbage, is beautifully done. With commendable restraint, Brook has followed Crouwel's frequently stated guideline and not attempted to interpose his own personality as a designer between the subject and the viewer.' - Rick Poyner - Design Observer'Wim Crouwel A Graphic Odyssey is a serious, substantial retrospective of a phenomenal career and a fitting tribute to a truly great designer. Co-curators Brook and Margaret Cubbage should be congratulated on what is, for my money, the finest graphic design show that the Design Museum has staged.' - Patrick Burgoyne - Creative Review”
Mini book
I got set a project over the holidays, the brief was to fold a A4 piece of papper into 130 square, then I was instructed to use every square as a composition for a fine liner drawing. The only rule was “only to use each square for 1 composition e.g. no drawing in multiple square.
I decided to take this further and cut the paper into a concertina booklet, after this I created a sleeve in order to keep it from coming undone a ripped. To Finnish it off I inserted a piece of material to use as a pull tab in order for the book to pop out.
This was the first outcome from a play around in after effects by manipulating a video clip.
Recently I have been trying to get back into cinema 4d, so I thought It was appropriate to upload my first experiment in order to show my progress.
Purchased these beautiful zines at the christmas print fair in London
Posterzine™ — The Poster That’s Also A Magazine
Entry by Marcroy / December 3, 2015
Our latest publishing project titled Posterzine is where a poster meets a magazine — a mini monograph magazine which folds out to reveal a gorgeous A1 format poster (594x841mm). Posterzine is printed by Pressision Ltd using two special Pantone spot colours each time on Fedrigoni Arcoprint Extra White paper stock meaning that no two issues will look the same. It has been registered at the British Library as a magazine because of the way that it folds in on itself, differentiating it from a pamphlet which is folded like a concertina. It has been given it’s own ISSN number and is noted as a publication.
Posterzine strengthens relationships between the industries, brands, organisations and individuals through a series of crisp, articulate interviews and insights into talented and established professionals from around the world. Posterzine also represents a refreshing departure from the traditional publishing models; it is proof that print is very much alive and indeed thriving.
A video I put together from a exhibition I went to at the white cube about a month ago. I though video was the best medium to use to display the exhibition as it also includes the audio which is half of the experience.
I recently went to Ann Veronica Janssens “Yellow Blue Pink” at the welcome collection. I would really recommend a visit to the exhibition as it is a unforgettable experience. Once you enter the room you feel exposed and out of place, however after a while you get used to being truly unaware about your surrounding and for me the experience gave me a insight into how colour can change the way you feel etc…
more info below about the exhibition….
“This new installation by Ann Veronica Janssens explores light and colour as she invades the gallery with coloured mist. Colour is caught in a state of suspension, obscuring any detail of surface or depth. Instead, attention is focussed on the process of perception itself. Janssens’s work is both disorienting and uplifting as the daily wonder of conscious experience is given renewed emphasis.”
