golden hour - glitter on eyelids, painting sunflowers, peach coloured blush, shades of yellow in a palette, walls and fences embroidered with ivy and roses, a polka dot ladybird landing on your pink finger
sunset - playing guitar and making up songs, laying on the grass, mangoes and berries and oranges in a picnic basket, dimples when you smile, eyes that remind you of sunshine and warmth, messy hair
sunrise - scented candles that smell like candyfloss, pastel scribbles in diaries, calming acoustics, cream colored tote bags, neutral shades and smooth texture of paper fashion magazines, simple comforts
dusk - bike rides to the lake, listening to music that sounds like you’re underwater and dreaming, sleeping on someone’s shoulder in the car, feeling like you’re in a movie, the sound of radios at night
dawn - little cottages surrounded by flowers, exploring a town in the south of France, hearing birdsong, delicate silk, ice creams in strawberry fields, daydreams that float around like clouds
midnight - the hum of cars in the distance from an apartment window, dimly lit restaurants, a folded letter in the jean pocket, sleeping in airports, that one hoodie that always feels comforting and warm
acne does not define you. it is not the first thing people see when they look at you and you are under no obligation to cover it up if you don’t want to. it is something you have no control over and you should not be ashamed of it. you are allowed to feel the sun on your bare face, you are allowed to be comfortable. acne is a condition that does not change who you are as a human. you are loving, you are compassionate, you are creative. you are not a skin condition. the ones who matter will remember your laugh, your style, your joy. not your skin.
