Check out my latest drum cover! It's to Xilent's remix of Figure 8 by Ellie Goulding! I love the original song, as well as Xilent's remix of it, and I saw no one did a cover of Xilent's version yet. Enjoy! :)
Hit me up with a message to request any cover on any instrument! :)
So! This is the first cover I'm putting up here that doesn't involve a stringed instrument. That's because, as some of you know, the first instrument I ever learned, and fell completely in love with was the drums. In 4th grade I got a snare drum from the school, and would always get in trouble because I'd take it out on the playground and play it to show off. I'd get it taken away, and the very next day there I was, jammin away while my friends listened and played 4 square. Not too much has changed! It's been about 3 years now since I've played drums at all, and the minute I sat down to record this it was pure bliss. I may not be as limber as I once was, but that'll come back. For now enjoy my drum cover of Locked Out of Heaven (M Machine remix)!
Lana Del Rey - Video Games (NYE 2012 pregame jam)
Norah Jones- Don't Know Why acoustic cover
I'm back! Sorry I haven't been updating this blog very much, but I have a few things coming up in the works! For now, enjoy name!
As always, request, request, request!
Katie and I making magic, as always.
You're The One That I Want, from Grease!
Jammin around with Eric while he flew Aumen Media's new FS700 on a monster of a shoulder rig! He also threw some grit on the frames in post; couldn't be happier with how well that footage takes manipulation. Thanks for watching! And I promise I won't neglect this tumblr anymore! :)
Dawes - When My Time Comes
After watching Coachella raise Tupac with a hologram, I figured all bets were off. This song has been a favorite of mine ever since my friend Luke introduced me to it about a month ago. I definitely have a soft spot for good harmonies, and Dawes spares no expense with this song. Thanks for listening! :)
The Script-Breakeven
Another video from our San Diego trip, this is an original song entitled "Younger" that I wrote for the band The Varsity. It was filmed by Elena Jasic and Eric Aumen of Aumen Media at La Jolla Beach in San Diego, California.
Thanks so much for watching!

Last night Katie and I did a new arrangement of an older original song of mine and began the tracking of my piano and her vocal part. After wrapping up for the night we decided to do a quick cover of a song we realized that both of us already knew and loved, Goodnight Moon.
Thanks for watching!

P.S. I'm currently editing video for a special original song/video that was filmed on La Holla Beach in San Diego, CA. It should be up by tonight, so stay tuned for a double-feature Tuesday!
Last week I went with my brother Eric and his girlfriend Elena to San Diego to visit our sister Vanessa and soon-to-be brother-in-law Mitch. It was an incredible experience; including my first plane ride, 24-hour mexican food (that I still swear has some sort of controlled substance inside every delicious bite), torrential downpours on the beach, and hale and snow in the desert! With no disposable funds for checking my guitar on the plane, I decided to cram my new mahogany ukulele into a backpack that I would use as my second carry-on. A few days into the trip, while Mitch was at work, Vanessa took us to Fiesta Island to watch the sun go down. While we were there, we played around on the ukulele and sang a few songs. Here's one of our favorites from around the campfire growing up.
As always, thanks for watching!

STRAIGHT FROM FIESTA ISLAND!
NEW COVER coming up very soon! This song will be featuring my lovely sister, Vanessa Aumen, who I've been visiting with for the past week on the west coast. This was filmed by Eric Aumen of Aumen Media, and Elena Jasic, at Fiesta Island, San Diego. I can't wait to finish up the video and upload it! I have lots more on the way, including 2 originals and another cover in the next week or two!
Thanks for reading, and check back soon. :)

So I decided to upload an original. The video was taken by my brother, Eric, of Aumen Media (Check out the link below) in his apartment. Writing songs has long been a great love of mine, and also very therapeutic in certain context. I really hope you enjoy the song!
Thanks for watching!

As I said, I take requests, no matter what. I think this is proof. Here's my cover of Chumbawumba's "I Get Knocked Down". This song goes out to all my frat bros, who get knocked down, but then get up again. Nothing's ever gonna keep you down, bros.

So after giving it some thought, I decided that this tumblr would be best put to use by doing covers more often, with less production time (aka webcam), then do the higher production ones when I get the time. I'm struck at least 3 or 4 times a day with inspiration of a cover I'd like to do, and would rather just be able to pick up my guitar and arrange it and record it, rough and raw for you to hear. There will absolutely still be the fully produced, multi-camera, multi-angle live covers you've seen on here so far, but I've decided to go for quantity (AND quality) rather than only quality when I have the time. As for this song, I'm not quite sure exactly where I remember it from, but I know it from when I was a little kid, and the chorus definitely does something to me. As always, thank you so much for listening, and come by and drop me a REQUEST! :)
