Hello and welcome to Hatstand Blogging. After years of thinking about doing a blog, I’ve finally started one, so we shall see how this goes. I’ll be writing a mix of reviews and general thoughts on the things I like, and I hope you enjoy reading them.
Feel free to ask me any questions, too, about any of the stuff I’ve written about. I’m also a big fan of Warhammer, so feel free to ask me about that if you feel so inclined.
A fan-game set in the world of Cultist Simulator*, this game puts in you in the role of a doomed spirit. Manipulate relationships, forsake your immortality, and claw your way into the world of the living once and for all!
Part visual novel, part resource management sim, we've drawn inspiration from games like Crusader Kings, Shadows of Forbidden Gods, and Sultan's Game to create a unique narrative experience.
But we need your help to make it the best game it can be!
Backing this project on Kickstarter will alow us to add more playable spirits with unique win conditions, allowing you to explore the cast of TMoB in different ways across multiple playthroughs. It also gets you access to a discounted price and the Perpetual Edition, which will get you access to any DLC we add in the future.
And don't forget to reblog! We have no marketing budget, and so we're counting on your help to get the word out!

I really love how Graham McNeill sent a Deus Ex Machina to fetch his boy to the location he needed to go for the plot to proceed, only it came from the wrong god(s). Plot convenience will jump to meet your needs, Ventris, but you will suffer for every second it lasts. This is the grim darkness of the far future, baby, we got standards to meet!
A treasure hunter living day to day. He is well-versed in ancient scripts, deciphers ancient texts, and embarks on expeditions, unearthing ancient artifacts while wearing a protective suit he developed himself. His destiny begins to change dramatically when he unearths the Omegahorn, used by an ancient captain, and encounters Enkaku. He fights, interacts with, and grows alongside various horned beast hunters.
Enkaku:
The ancient horned beast king, sealed away in Egorgear, discovered by Shout. While originally a gigantic horned beast, he usually acts alongside Shout in human form (demi-human). He behaves with dignity befitting the king of the horned beasts, but having slept for a long time within Egorgear, he is unfamiliar with modern civilization.
He sees the "ego" that is the mark of a king in Shout, and guides him to become a true captain, even as they clash at times.
Giriko the Wave-Slasher
A horned beast hunter of the same generation as Shout. She became interested in Shout and his partner, Enkaku, after they unearthed the Omegahorn, and appears wherever Shout and his companions go. She is a shrewd character who sometimes becomes an ally of Shout and his friends, and at other times an enemy. She is skilled at fighting with a greatsword by possessing herself with the power of the "Kakuzyu Zankaku".
Ibaru of Despair
He is a charismatic leader of the Ibaru Alliance, possessing overwhelming power and commanding many hunters. Driven by his intense ego, he dispatches hunters to neighboring countries in an attempt to seize control of the world, expanding his territory. Ibaru himself is a martial artist, engaging in battles using a special horn awakening device and the power of Zetsuenkaku.
Zetsuenkaku
He possesses absolute self-confidence and a powerful presence that belies his appearance. Unlike the other hunters and horned beasts who follow Ibaru, he treats Ibaru as an equal. He usually takes on a human form (demi-human form), just like Enkaku. His relationship with Enkaku remains shrouded in mystery.
Oh he is clueless when it comes to fighting. Like, all the attacks he does are button smashing until it activates a combo. He is surprised by his OWN attacks. I love him.
Also why was that the name you came up with and why does nobody gaf?
Well tbh they're prob used to Emma's naming atp 😭
I love everybody so much this show is so funny and endearing to me 🥹
Gavan Infinity was a damn good show, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I really vibed with the show. Gavan Infinity was just such a fun, upbeat show. To be honest, I ended up enjoying and looking forward to it more than Zeztz. Yeah, it had some issues, a clear lack of budget being one of those things, but they only made me appreciate its charm more.
I would have watched 50 episodes of Reji and the gang going on multiverse adventures, and it's a crime that we only got 23. I don't think the story was as bad as people claim it to be, but I was surprised that the show committed to keeping the Gavans apart until the last few episodes. The costumes were great, as was the music. The story, like the theme, showed that love truly is the strongest.
One thing that it definitely has over Zeztz is the female characters who did way more than ones in Zeztz have and probably will if we're being honest. Kiki and her episodes were also among the best of the show, and, on the whole, better than Setsuna's.
It's also a damn shame that Gavan Infinity seemingly didn't get the level of following here and elsewhere compared to Zeztz. While it is understandable, it is still a shame. If you haven't watched Gavan Infinity, I would highly recommend it. It's a nice, easy watch and great fun too.
