bou has been raised not to curse, not even in german. however, when he’s frustrated it happens that he may slip one or two curses and will say ‘don’t tell my parents that i just cursed’ because he knows that his parents wouldn’t approve that nasty mouth of their son.

his cat dinah was a stray cat that just so happened to follow bou everywhere. it went that far he decided to adopt her. dinah is also the name of alice’s cat in the novel.

bou has bad eyesight and therefore wears glasses. when he wears his hero attire, he wears contacts as it’s more comfortable.

bou is a talented cook. he’s self-taught and cooks a lot in his free time. he loves cooking for the council as well.

bou just happens to be the tallest member of the student council. ryo seems to be the smallest one.

his music taste is various. he often listens to rammstein, einstürzende neubauten and other german bands. his parents expect him to love german classical music, though.

HEADCANON #01 — if bou is the mad hatter, why does he not wear a hat?

the nature of his quirk is really aggressive and the drawbacks are really aggravating. as seen in his profile, when he’s using his quirk on someone, his resting body is a very vulnerable spot for every enemy.

but another drawback is the fact that he can’t wear his own hats as his consciousness would absorb into the hat itself and will no longer be able to get free from the hat itself. the only way to break this is literally cutting the thread of the hat. of course he would wear hats made of different threads but what is a hatter who does not use his self-made material? he is very loyal to the power of his quirk and would never wear a hat that was not made by himself. and using a different thread? out of question.
