Happy opening weekend!

Hi guys Admin Nicole here. I hope everyone is having a great opening weekend. I myself have been bed ridden for 4 days with some sort of gross stomach virus. So, I had to miss my opening night at the haunt. Hoping I can get out there tonight but it's not looking to positive right now. Super bummed! Cheer me up! I want hear how your opening weekend went. Any good stories?

PSA About Halloween Events

As the Halloween season has finally arrived, I just wanted to give everyone some guidelines to follow about going to Halloween Event:

Don’t hurt the scare-actors. I’ve heard people say that they’ll punch a grown man in the face if he pops up and scares them. They can’t touch you so don’t touch them.

Don’t touch props unless you are told to. I saw a young man touch a prop and it nearly fell on an actor who was hiding.

If you watch a show (Like Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure or Fiends) don’t get offended at something they do. They’re meant to entertain and parody the events that have happened in the past year and are meant in good fun.

A lot of time and effort went into putting these events together, rant and rave all you want to when you get home or in the car about how the event sucked or wasn’t scary, but don’t say it within earshot of an actor or an employee. They’re doing the best they can.

And most of all: Remember that the actors are just like you and I. They get up every morning and go to school or work and then spend hours and hours getting ready for their event at night. I asked one actor how long it took him to get into make up and costume, he said it took about two and a half hours and had to be reapplied every time he took a break.

All in all, have fun, be safe, and respect the actors.
