Sometimes, Tatsuya didn’t know where the difference lied between being polite and being weak- it was a problem that his mother had always warned him about and yet he had never quite seemed to manage to fix
“Always be polite, respect your elders, never address anyone or anything with ill intentions unless you’ve been addressed that way first,”
Among other various instructions and lessons
But he had also been taught to stand up tall, to speak firmly, not to show too much emotion or anything that could be construed as weakness- it was hard to keep both of those things true at the same time
But he hoped he could now as he arrived at the meeting....
“Lady Farferren,” he greeted with a bow of his head
“It’s a pleasure to meet you,”
@elven-isolde
“You very much figured correctly,” Tatsuya agreed, he would never understand the magic of perfume, how someone could engineer a scent at all, much less in a way that so perfectly mimicked something else- especially something they had no personal experience with
“Oh that’s completely understandable, it may help you with inspiration on future scents though, at the very least,”
He understood that the marketing aspect wasn’t her cup of tea, but he still thought that the trip could be of some use to her, atleast in a small way, he knew he was biased for so strongly favoring the scent of the sea, but he also knew that his favorite scent was a popular one, maybe there was more she could do with it to appeal to other customers as well
“Actually I was thinking of making it more... vintage... something older, that makes you think of old-fashioned Japan, before industrialization, something that makes you think of quieter times, you know? Something where you can think of peace and warm spring days,tranquility,”
