“Everyone else seems to be excited for this and I don’t understand why.”
'Oh, I can list a lot of reasons why, I just can’t relate. For starters, why would you want to dress up as monsters?’
“That is boring.”
'Trust me, pal, there’s nothing exciting about dressing up as monsters either. ‘Cause real monsters, they’re terrifying.’
“I love halloween, but trying to dress up as something original is so hard.”
‘Yeah, that’s why I just don’t bother.’
“I suppose that’s the part where I make sure my work trip gets moved forward. I don’t understand all this hype about this Halloween or this carnival.”
‘Don’t sweat it, man, neither do I. Super overhyped.’
“This is going to be lit, guess who’s in charge of games ?? That’s right, I am, aka, the Best game planner in the entire universe.”
‘Someone’s very confident.’
sam looked up at his brother.. or the face of his brother, he wasn’t quite sure yet. whoever it was, if it wasn’t him.. they were pretty convincing. sam was almost fooled. when dean’s arm stretched out towards him, he fliched slightly, gulping audibly as he looked down at it. he tried to ignore the blinding pain in his leg as he straightened it out slightly, taking a hold of deans arm with his bloody fingers and gliding the blade across his skin. he waited.. for the smoke, or bubbles, but nothing happened. so then.. it really was dean. his hand moved up from dean’s arm, grasping onto his shoulder tightly, not caring much about the blood he was spreading over his brothers jacket. they could always get a new one. “bu-but how.. dean.. you’re supposed to be dead, how the hell are you here..? wherever here is?”
‘Yeah, Sammy, it’s me.’ Dean gave Sam a brief grin before worry clouded over his features again. He knew Sam had a lot of questions and he had every intention of answering them but the fact of the matter was that Sam had a bullet in his leg and Dean could tell he was in pain. First thing first, they had to take care of his injuries. Explanations could come later. He tried to stick to the basics to appease his brother a little. 'We’re in Magnolia, Illinois, and I didn’t die. It turns out all we needed to do was get Amara and Chuck to have a heart to heart and they’d figure it out themselves. She healed him, they left, story over. The question is, what happened to you?’ Dean shook his head and retracted. ‘No, you know what, that can wait, we have to treat your wound first. The Impala is close, can you walk?’
“Well, that didn’t take long.” Charlie turned around to see Dean standing before her.·“Hi. I have a lot to tell you, but first,” Charlie walked up to him with her arms out, and gave him a hug. Taking a deep breath into Dean’s shoulder, she could smell the faint scent of old leather seats of the Impala on him. She would never admit it, but it smelled like a second home to her.
Dean was too taken aback by the hug to worry about the possibility of her not being the real Charlie but some goddamned monster - his arms wrapped around her on instinct and for a moment he held her close, this woman who was the closest to a sister he ever had. 'Jesus, Charlie, how -’ Dean pulled away, took a look at her familiar red hair and bright smile. That hug, that felt like Charlie, no doubt about it. But still. ‘You know I’m gonna have to test you, right?’
Deano. Gabriel grinned looking at him and resisted the urge to circle him, check out the ‘goods’ as it were because for a guy who’d literally gone to Hell and back he was looking remarkably, oh what’s the word? Alive? Intact?
“And isn’t the gossip just the best? I totally want to know which butcher’s wife is doing the horizontal tango with the mail person.”
Dean snorted, amused. Yeah, small towns. The one thing worse: small town people. 'And which housewife poisoned her husband, right? It’s all a little petty if you ask me. But hey, if you’re into that, I bet this town is just perfect for you.’

“Oh I have no problem with people knowing things. You are just giving off those creepy over interested vibes one usually associates with hunters. Well that and the douche bag vibes. But that’s also a hunter thing…”
'Well, aren’t you just peachy? I have no idea what you’re talking about.’
‘ i never miss a shot. its like i got hawk senses. ‘
'Never? Not even once? Awesome.’
<
‘ really? ah would have never really thought sugah. ‘
'Yeah, really. I think nobody would have guessed, actually.’
placing his shaking hands over the wound on his leg, he closed his eyes again and pressed down with a pained groan to try and stem the bleeding. god, it hurt like a BITCH, and he swallowed down the string of curse words on the tip of his tongue. the bullet was still lodged in his thigh, and sam needed to figure out where the hell he was, so he could get to a place of safety and get wretched thing out of his body. sam almost didn’t hear the voice calling his name.. only not his name, his nickname. the name only one person in the whole world would call him. opening his eyes again, he couldn’t believe the pair of eyes staring back at him. it couldn’t be. dean was dead. it was.. “not possible.” he murmured, before his defensive instincts kicked in and he sat up straight, pulling his hunting knife out of his pocket and holding it out. “who the hell are you and why are you wearing my brother?” it had to be a shapeshifter, or this was some kind of test from the british bitch. or sam was just straight up losing his mind.
They had performed this dance far too many times to be interesting anymore and Dean briefly pondered if they should come up with a secret code for the next time one of them inevitably dies. Might make things easier. Sam, of course, had every right to be distrustful - hell, Dean would give him an earful if Sam just took his presence at face value. And yet, at the moment Dean had no patience for the fuss of proving to Sam that it was really him when Sam had been shot and he had no idea what even happened. Jesus Christ, couldn’t they ever catch a break? Dean snorted inwardly. That was a stupid question he already knew the answer to. 'Woah, okay, yes. I know, I know. I died. Except I didn’t, not this time. Long story. I’ll tell you later, for now just -’ Dean exhaled and gestured towards the knife Sam was holding. Then he held out his arm. ‘Test me.’
“Don’t you just gotta love small towns?”
'Yeah, small towns, big secrets. That’s usually how it goes.’
A small smile now was on her lips looking at him “I like you too and that sounds like a really good idea” She said looking at him with a small smile “I love halloweeen parties even if I don’t like halloween, but that’s an excuse to get drunk. Also I think I’m going to wear a really nice vampire outfit and then, I will bite ya. What do ya think? I can be a pretty vampire? I think I can really pull that off”
'Any excuse to get drunk, I’m in,’ Dean nodded, grinning. ‘A vampire, huh? I can dig it. Fake fangs and all? I probably won’t dress up. Not my thing.’
“ okay. i’ll entertain this conversation –- what makes you think god prefers to be called chuck ?? ”
'’Cause it’s the name he’s been using all this time to blend in among us.’
“Not at all. Sounds interesting though.”
‘Interesting? Yeah, I suppose, for someone who’s not familiar with the story. So seriously, how did you not hear of God? Where do you come from?’
