Imagine Steve getting the old confidence back after some space from the break-up while stumbling into allies/then friendship with Billy. Now he decides he likes Billy who’s sort of ambiguously flirtatious. And Steve just going for it out of the blue like he did with Nancy, ole King Steve, which Billy loves but wasn’t expecting this side of it. Like after a monster fight Billy says something off the cuff like “Nice job with those fuckers today, Harrington. Didn’t let em’ mess up that pretty face of yours. Couldn’t have that, now could we?”

Steve grins and says, “That’s funny, coming from you.”

Billy raises an eyebrow. “How do you mean?”

Steve abruptly backs him up against a tree, braces on one hand right next to Billy’s head. His voice gets all low suddenly, inches from Billy’s lips.

“I mean you’re the best looking guy I’ve ever seen in my life,” Steve says, all husky. “Anything happened to your face, I think I’d shoot myself.” Traces Billy’s bottom lips with his thumb. “Fucking beautiful.”

Half of Billy’s blood rushes to his face and the other half rushes to his dick. It’s so sudden and so unexpected and so King Steve.

And that’s Steve’s first move.

i want a 5 times someone threatened billy after finding out he was dating/fucking/even kind of together with steve - fic. like, proper Shovel Talk™️ and billy being like, gosh, it would be cool to be this loved and cherished  by everyone but also like, not even being surprised. bc steve is great and Perfect and obviously no one would ever be worried about steve hurting billy, just billy hurting steve. bc obviously. that’s just…the way the world works. 

he’s just accepted it as a fact of life. that he has to be careful with steve and that steve doesn’t have to be careful with him.

and then a 1 time he - walks in on (overhears, etc., maybe after a fight with steve or something) max talking to steve. like, “please don’t hurt him, he’s my brother.” or like, “he may seem like a stupid invincible idiot, but he’s not, so, like, can you guys maybe sort your shit out? please? he means a lot to me and no one else takes care of him.”

and like, billy doesn’t even know what to do with that. except for rest his forehead against the wall and breathe for a little while.

We need to talk about the fact that Trump’s cabinet is trying to build a relationship with the media similar to that of North Korea. It may seem comical that his cabinet wants to call it “alternative facts,” but the fact that they are outright lying about verifiable facts without an ounce of fear of ridicule or care is incredibly terrifying and we absolutely must not let them get away with building a fake image for Trump and his failures.

This isn’t the first time they’ve done this. There is an obsessive need to build a false, almost comically inflated image of Trump and his cabinet (“the highest IQ”) and it seems hilarious at first, but keep in mind the kind of image North Korea has built for its government and the blatant propaganda it spreads. Let’s also talk about the threats from the White House to “rethink [their] relationship” with the press for criticizing and pointing out their lies.

The reason why we see videos of people like Betsy DeVos getting roasted on live television and keeping her incredibly unsettling smile is because this cabinet doesn’t care if they’re underqualified and doesn’t care about verifiable facts; they’re a basket of deplorables who know they will get the positions anyway, and will not be swayed by facts that contradict their supposed policy. It’s not because they are stupid, it’s because they are leeches who are only looking to fill their own pockets, and while they know damned well that things like climate change are real, they don’t care because they’re more interested in their monetary relationship with the oil industry, for example. It has NOTHING to do with ideals or wanting to be right; they are wrong and THEY KNOW IT, but they are trash and don’t care what damage they cause along the way as long as they can scam the American people out of every penny they can grab.

They don’t HAVE to care. You’re referring to a group whose socio-economic positions allows them the privilege of reaping the highest rewards from their actions while at the same time insulating them from any consequences.

When resources become poisoned, destroyed, or restricted, they will always - always - have access to what remains. For what remains increases in value, and control of which further solidifies their place in a power structure.

^BINGO! This is exactly why I don’t believe in playing nice or taking the high road with people like this. They are dangerous, because they don’t care about truths or morals or ethics, only about their own growth of power at the cost of everyone else. Trying to meet them in a match of facts vs. lies or ethical ideals vs. unethical ones will yield no results because they are beyond the point of caring about these things, and while I 100% believe it is important for the general population to be able to distinguish between facts and falsehoods while keeping themselves educated on political issues (supremely important, in all honesty), when it comes to fighting against the bottom of the barrel of humanity these people are, you cannot appeal to them with facts or ethics. It simply will not work. You have to hold them accountable for their actions with absolutely zero pity or compassion, with cold detachment and calculated, unyielding push back for every step they take forward. Do not play nice with these people; do not tell your fellow oppressed brothers and sisters that they should “spread love and not hate”; people like this have ZERO scruples and they absolutely benefit from your kindness at the cost of EVERYONE ELSE, INCLUDING YOURSELF. They do not deserve forgiveness or chances to prove themselves ethical and well meaning when they have already proven beyond a doubt that they simply are neither.

Shit, yeah, this is a thing that is hard to articulate. Some people don’t feel healed by forgiving the people who hurt them, because that’s what they kept doing over and over and it only led to getting more hurt. Sometimes you feel healed when you’re finally brave enough to say “This person was horrible to me, and I did not deserve that treatment, and I don’t have to be okay with it.”
