I think that we should bring back putting nose art on warplanes, it makes them so much more interesting even if it makes their camouflage less effective and I like it when they look like hideous little creatures

I’ve been seeing a few Silent Salt modern au drawings floating around but everyone seems to make Nox into a motorbike which I don’t think makes a good stand in for a living animal SSC clearly loves deeply

Instead I think it makes way more sense for Nox to be a dressage horse and SSC an elite dressage rider since it feels wrong to make Nox an inanimate object and dressage as a discipline is essentially derived from old war horse training

Also Elderfaere is a classics professor because it just kinda feels right+ Salt Cellar in the corner

I had originally just made Choctaw and Ireland close friends but then I had an even BETTER idea

Also I don’t really have any relationship related reasoning for specifically putting in Sparta and Corinth I just already had a design for Sparta and I needed an animal related polis of some description and Corinth was the first to come to mind

Now that we have the names of Ragatha’s horses confirmed I felt I had to draw them

I see them as Tennessee walkers, not particularly sure why the breed just feels right (obviously she wouldn’t sore them or put them in stacks she’d let them amble normally because she has a basic sense of empathy)

Choctaw Nation and her bestie Ireland

They trauma-bonded over the trail of tears and potato famine and Choctaw was pretty much the only person who actually helped Ireland despite having nothing herself

I read an account of a phenomenon that occurred in Scarborough in 1165 which was described as an “accursed horse” which gouged “footprints” into the countryside and was accompanied by destructive hail and lighting, which sounds an awful lot like a multi-vortex tornado so naturally I had to it

I love learning about how people interpreted weird things like tornadoes before we figured out what was actually going on
