After the past few Invincible episodes an old crackship came to mind.
Before I say what it is though, let me set the stage:
Imagine Mark and his friends are at the bowling alley. It's been some time since he returned to earth, and he's just trying to enjoy life before things inevitably go bad again. So it's him and Eve, William and Rick, and they're just waiting on Amber. Apparently, she's been seeing this new guy for quite some time and wants to introduce them to him.
So they're waiting, eager to meet this guy Amber has been swooning over. And when she shows up, Mark looks up and feels his heart sink to his stomach and through the fucking floor.
Because there, standing next to Amber... is Thragg.
If y'all read my Conquest series on AO3, then you probably saw me mention this before in the notes. I... I can't tell you where this idea came from. It literally just popped into my head out of nowhere. But it exists and I love it.
Like just imagine. Thragg, the motherfucking Thragg, dating Ms. Amber Bennett who practically lives and breathes being a good person and helping the people around her.
Amber who who loves her planet and it's people. Amber who personally goes out of her way to help those less fortunate than her and is studying so she can continue helping, so she can help more.
Like you can't tell me there's no way Thragg wouldn't find that appealing. He'd respect the shit out of what she's doing! She'd make a perfect empress!
He cares deeply for his people, she cares deeply for people– look, they have some things in common. Also the visual of them together is– mwuah.
Amber deserves a big strong boyfriend/husband. And Thragg deserves an earth woman who won't take no shit and is confident.
Like just cut to ten, fifteen years into the future and Amber is probably in politics or something while Thragg stays home raising the kids. They'd make some pretty babies, too.
