Used a lot of refs obviously, realized all the images I grabbed of the man himself had weird shading but I couldn't find one w/o so I just mixed a bunch of eyedropped swatches up together and said it was good enough. I don't think it looks half-bad despite everything!
I could have spent hours colorpicking tiny bits from the fur of the main reference I had for the horse half. That was my favorite part. 10/10 would sit here and paint horse fur for hours

Was initially worried this one would come off in bad taste just based on the stereotypes around em, but as far as I found (albeit through pretty much surface-level forum browsing) donkeys are pretty respected once you dig past the initial stereotypes (for good reason, they're cool lil fellas) so I figured I'd go with it, but feel free to correct me or suggest something else anyways.
On that note, Rudy is a Mule to match, also pretty cool animals
Laswell is either a Morgan or a Mustang, I feel like either could fit fairly well.
Digging around shows that Urzikstan is apparently close to Georgia?? I'm a dumb American so I did my best to narrow down a region for horse breeds and came up with a few pretty fascinating options (Karabakh, Kabarda, & Karachay), but no concrete answer for Farah and Hadir.
Half-tempted to just throw in Przewalski's because they're cool and I like saying the name, but I'd like to put a bit more thought into it lol.
Of the three actual breeds, the Kabarda seems like the best bet to me based on region, but I'm bad with maps & there are a bunch of "Urzikstan irl" maps with varying placement, so...

Mace is a Clydesdale. Wanted to pick an American breed but I'm finding two draft breeds tops and neither felt right, so...
...also I feel like Shire & Clydesdale are like the draft horses everyone thinks about (they're my first thought anyways) and I wanted him to match Ghost
Nikolai is a Soviet Heavy Draft - dark bay
Nikto is a Russian Heavy Draft/Russian Ardennes - liver chestnut or something like that?? hard to pick a color for Nikto, considering

König is a Rottaler - I dunno if they actually come in this color but I have bay w/ graying written down

I don't... know who else to add. I'm perfectly willing to go through all of the MP characters eventually, but I don't think I'm missing anyone aside from that??? It's been so long since I last played the campaign, I don't know.
I've done this with a few other animals too, dogs of course (reworking that one), I should probably do cats sometime now that I think of it, birds is up next 100%, and I've already got most of them down for cattle breeds because I do quite enjoy cows actually. They're cute little guys. I'll compile 'em all one of these days, and think of more.
Forgot, but for my own entertainment, Coyote is a Rocky Mountain Horse! I am a sucker for some pretty dapple markings, and it suits him well, all things considered
