As a Visual Communicator it enables me to express my creative side and communicate through my work. I enjoy going places and doing new things. I have a love for going away and experiencing other cultures. I have always had a keen interest in Graphic design, this ranging from illustration to more computer based design such as editorial. I like combining different mediums together to create final pieces, these being books/ book covers, magazines, posters, packaging designs etc.

This was a group D&AD project by me and two other members on my course. The packaging was designed for Purdey’s Rejuvenate and Purdey’s Natural Energy. It is inspired by how the drink makes you feel and the fact its exclusive blend of ingredients really does have a taste like no other. The distinctive taste inspired the two main characters: the Deer and the Fox. As well as the animals being associated with nature, these characters portray the feel good and active qualities when you drink Purdeys. The main ingredients are reflected within the characters by what they are doing and how they are feeling. The bubbles around each character reflect the drinks fizz and vitality.

A collection of food packaging designs for my final major project inwhich I created a limited edition picnic range for Ted Baker. My designs show the concept of 'So delicious the wildlife want it'. This is shown by a certain wildlife creature (that you may find at a picnic) being attracted to the each of the food products. Butterflies for the tea, Birds after the Scones, Ladybirds after the Jam, and Bees buzzing for the cream. The flask shows all the wildlife together in a pattern which I linked across all the products. I wanted the designs to have a consistency so they look like part of a set. They needed to reflect the quirky Britishness and attention to detail that Ted Baker portrays within his designs.

My sculptures are all constructed with recycled materials — old CDs, computer hard drives etc, so I classify my work as “sustainable art”. They’re a lot of fun to make, but they take an extremely long time to finish, so I don’t do a lot of them.
