ok so yeah i may have gone a little overboard with the blood but what can i say?? Bloody tooth fungus’ jelly is just impossible not to go overboard with. its so satisfying to draw. anyways, uncensored version under cut. (also, yes, i misspelled ‘gore’. sue me.)

day 4 of funguary and I really had fun painting this one. who knew glow in the dark things were that fun to paint. I think I might have lost the spook factor somewhere along the way but I'm still proud.

day 3 of funguary! I missed day two since I was experiencing some art block and lattice fungus just wasn't speaking to me. Destroying angel almost suffered the same fate. I hade a solid idea of some sneaky lil imp going “hey friend want some puffballs?” but I just couldn't get the pose right and in the end for some reason I decided to try painting instead and what do you know? it worked.

I tried really hard to get across that weird toothy / flakey texture it has both on their skin and on their cap. I also feel like regardless of how questionably spooky my first prompt was, i certainly succeeded in that criteria this time.

decided to participate in Funguary! I might miss a few days but here’s day one, ink cap. I noticed there were a few varieties when i searched for photos so for clarity, I used the Coprinopsis atramentaria as a reference as it was the most consistent result. I’m not sure if it quite fits the “spooky” category but im fairly content with the product. (unshaded version under cut)
