I GOT THE JOB!!!!! I can't believe I'm actually saying this but yeah, dreams really DO COME TRUE! I can't believe it, it's been about a month since I've began working there and I'm still in shock.
The first picture is my work setting, it is an hour drive away but it is worth it. I get to travel some, my first trip ever was to Washington, I had never been up north before. The big cities the bright lights it was a new experience for me almost like a road trip. I got to stay at the embassy suites which was almost like a miniature apartment. I've never stayed in a hotel so large, although we had to share the expansive hotel with which you would've thought was all of Africa, they could've been worse I guess, but they weren't really better. I was surprised when I walked into the hotel it took me and my supervisor a moment to check in.
We went into our rooms to put away our luggage and then decided to meet in the lobby for the "manager's reception", they gave out free appetizers and limited alcohol selections for free for a few hours, I had a beer before we went to a delicious Italian restaurant that was better than any I had experienced before. I wish I had the money to afford to do some shopping up there but unfortunately as usual I am broke. It was a little late when we returned to our rooms because we didn't leave until like 1pm and it was a four hour drive. We went to the site to do training (part of my job) and we were there about two hours when I got a migraine, I knew it was a migraine because it was more painful than any head pain I've ever felt. It was so terrible I vomited, the lady there was kind enough to supply me with bottles of water and some otc pain relievers but they did nothing.
The only option for this was to place my jacket over my head like a fool and halfway lay down on the sofa in the reception area. I was missing a very important part of training and my job. I managed to sit in on the last 45 mins but I will still have to go on a few more sessions with my supervisor before I'm allowed to fly solo. Actually, on the 12th I get to go to Maryland. I've never been there either so I'm very excited, we have a lot of work to do with some traveling. I can't wait to blog about the interesting places I get to go to. I love my job it is amazing, my supervisor is a super chill ass dude like for real. I still make time for Jesi & Zach, Danielle, Kimmy, Corey (bro duh!) I try to watch the walking dead with my sister and her family on Sundays, although sometimes I can't make it and have to double up on episodes because I'm so wore out from my work week
I got to go see Mushroomhead AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On their 20th anniversary tour can you believe it? I felt so amazing to finally have met Waylon! They also brought back J-Mann for this special tour, the Lynchburg stop was their first hit on the tour, STUPID ASS one eyed doll was there and everyone acted like she was the star. Are you even kidding me? Make way for the real talent, I had no issues letting these kids know exactly who the hell Mushroomhead was and what they were about. Friday was Halloween, it fell on a Thursday which was super inconvenient but I decided last minutely to part take, it was my first Halloween of 21 I should do something. My brother's gf Kimmy was complaining about not having plans for this day, I volunteered myself to hang out with her that evening after I got off work. I work a normal schedule 8am-5pm by the way. That evening I get to my brothers house and see Kimmy outside dressed up I'm not sure what exactly, but point being I felt really out of place in my plain office attire. I thought for certain she had plans if she were to have dressed up so elaborately with burgundy red medieval dress, black feathery wings, and some sort of black veil?
I tell her we must no waste time I have to go find me a costume as well, we go to Walmart because it's close and of course they have slim pickings at such a late time in the holiday season. I find a tinkerbell costume that seems appropriate. We stand in line and after I get done purchasing the costume I waste no time and go into the restroom to don the new garment. Unfortunately I noticed that this piece only came with a dress when it should have wings as well, I don't think its tinkerbell without wings. I take the costume back and get my monies refunded, we race off to the mall surely they will have some complete ensemble?
First we go to spencers, they don't have any real costumes that I would label public appropriate. We dash over to hot topic, after looking around with much scorn I guess I would be superwoman, you can see above the costume. I was bloated worse than a pufferfish due to late period, finally came of course after I had already wore the absurdly skimpy costume. Kimmy can not go 15 mins without a cigarette so she left me in the mall bathroom to get dressed by myself. This would have been fine had the top not been a large corset which required someone to latch the backside all the way down....
I just slip my jacket over my top half and have my skirt or tutu on as I rush out to my car, Kimmy has to basically rough house me into this tight tiny corset. We went to the park and had some fun, it was a different setting because I had never been to a gay bar. Kimmy wanted to leave really soon, we played a game of pool, talked with her friends, and made fun of some peoples crazy get-ups. I had fun, mom said I shouldn't of spent so much on the costume but it was worth it, I'll keep that costume and keep wearing it until it becomes to little. Update it always and forever :)
