Vox saying thousands of sinners were exterminated seems numerically impossible, however I put forward how I’ve decided to see it.

Vox says thousands because he only cares about those under contract/ in his employ, thus being personally victimized by losing his servants. Losing thousands of people he owns makes sense why Vox actually cares about that number, especially assuming the sheer number that must reside in Hell at large.

Only giving a shit about what he considers “his” and his possessions seems on brand for him.

In "Once We Get Up There" Valentino is the only one of the Vees talking about getting back at the Exorcists as a positive. He seems to have an angle for revenge against the angels so I wonder if it's related to the fact he has a damaged antenna. Since presumably Sinners regenerate anything not done by angelic steel, maybe an exorcist wielded it?

In hindsight, Pentious being completely starry-eyed by the King in season 1 with context he was a 19th century Londoner is very funny.

I will say that this makes me extremely excited for the next two seasons since that means we're getting into more context for Lucifer's story!! I had assumed that Lucifer was essentially put to the side for this season since he wasn't exceedingly relevant and it would be better to explore in the future--so it's very nice to see that confirmed.
