Hey all! I'm planning on slowly but surely making individual posts for my fics here as a very sweet anon recommended that I could and I'm trying to be better at self promo!

But in the meantime, I figured a masterpost might be a good idea to start. I was going to do it all under a read more, but it got unmanageable very quickly! So instead, this is a masterpost of masterposts.

Below, I have masterposts for some wider categories of fic (and honestly, kind of how I have my WIPs sorted in my computer :P). There are some additional categories for sorting within each masterpost under Read Mores, but I think it will make it easier to search for something if you have a particular craving.

When Antonia Angel is unceremoniously dumped by her professor Dr. Gabriel Archer over the lack of fire between them, she takes advantage of her sister Anathema’s witchy knowledge to summon a demon to help win him back. Surely the fact that the demon Aziraphale is one of the most enchanting women she’s ever come across won’t throw any wrenches into that plan.

She fought back a blush, unsure of how much of it was embarrassment and how much was rage as she reiterated Gabriel’s parting words. “He says there’s no fire, that I have no fire, so I figured, fire? Demon.” She shrugged. “Seemed only logical.”

Aziraphale laughed and the sound tickled something in Antonia’s hindbrain, making her want to step closer. “Oh, honey, he doesn’t know what he’s missing! What are you looking for then? You want a makeover? I’m sure you’ve got a human that can do that for you. You want advice? There’s a brothel downtown that I’m sure you could go to and get some of the ladies chatting.”

It wasn’t as if Antonia hadn’t weighed those options. “I learn better by doing,” she retorted, “and I know a demon won’t judge me like a human would.”

Another stomach flipping laugh. “Oh, a whore’ll judge you far less than a demon does, but you’re cute, I wouldn’t mind giving some advice, showing you some techniques. But what are you prepared to offer for that?” Her voice slipped to sultry immediately and she just barely stopped her shiver.

Hands. Phenomenal invention, hands. One of the Almighty’s better ideas in Crowley’s opinion. An appendage to distinguish primates from Her other creations, to grasp and grip and push and lift, and that wasn’t even counting the thousands of things that could be done with fine motor movements. And opposable thumbs? Even more fantastic! This complicated arrangement of bones and muscle and blood vessels and nerves and ligaments and skin sitting at the end of the arm of this human corporation of his, and it allowed him to hold Aziraphale’s hand.

The best thing his hand had ever done by far.

The other merman’s smile was as warm as the sun when he dared to beach himself to sunbathe. “Oh, I can’t wait! I’ll be back soon, Crowley. Lovely to meet you!”

With that, the weirdest merman he’d ever met flicked his tail and jetted out of view.

And shockingly, Crowley found himself already anticipating his return.

He crept to the door, hoping that the continued swishing sounds meant the intruders would be preoccupied enough not to notice his next move, and pushed gently where it was already cracked. It opened halfway and the moonlight streaming in from the windows illuminated a mind-boggling scene.

Someone had Azira up against one of the bookshelves, kissing her fiercely. Someone with red hair and all black clothes and motherfucker! The fucking nanny again.

The more I think about the finale, the more upset I am. I did a rewatch and thought I squared myself with some things, but that vague optimism is gone. I just... it wasn't Good Omens, it wasn't THEM, everything is wrong and I just feel so unhappy. I've been so distracted and in a fog, and my normal happy place is no longer happy and I hate it SO much. I got some things from the Good Omens store, including the snowglobe, and hell if it isn't one of the only things that makes me feel okay about the show, thinking of how it could have been. But then I think that that is what it SHOULD have been and I get sad all over again. I feel tricked, I feel betrayed, and I think back to all the hints and teases and interviews and wonder how they all could have misled us so. I know not everyone feels that way because they did enjoy the finale and those promises feel like they were fulfilled but I just don't. I'm heartbroken, and I feel embarrassed for my trust. I didn't think this show could hurt me in this particular way, and yet...

I just want to write and escape and just opening my docs is painful. It's the fucking WORST and I don't know what to do about. Season 3 is scrapped to me, I can't stand to adopt it into my fics. I used to think I could steal parts of it, parts that I liked, but I don't think I can even do that.

Fuck this whole thing. I imagined people would have different opinions but I never imagined anything this divisive. I can only hope the fandom can come back together, because right now I feel like I'm watching the shattering of a community that gave me life for the past 3 years and I can't stand it.

I love the dynamic in the Discworld fandom on this site, I think it's mainly because there are a lot of dormant fans, if you will, who've read and loved the books for years but haven't engaged much recently, who sort of reappear whenever a fun post is doing the rounds. It's fantastic. We get the cozy small fandom vibe without the screaming matches, but also get the popular posts from time to time, y'know?

For anyone who's confused today, I won't spoil/explain what the 25th of May is in the Discworld fandom, because I think a big part of what's special about it is the way the plot unfolds in the book.

What I will explain though is that it'll make sense when you reach a book called Night Watch, which is the 29th book in the overall series and the 6th book in the City Watch subseries. If you haven't got that far yet, just take your time and enjoy the series! If you want to start with the City Watch stories then the first book you should check out is Guards! Guards!

The answer is, of course “it depends”, because the Discworld has several series all set in the universe, focusing on: Witches, Wizards, City Guards, the anthropomorphic personification of death, etc. etc.

Because it’s the Glorious 25th of May, if you’ve never yet read Terry Pratchett, go ahead and starts with the series focusing on the City Guards. Guards! Guards! kicks it off. Night Watch is where you get the reference to today. I think I need to re-read them all.

Aziraphale is suppressing a very vicious part of his personality and not handling it particularly well. Crowley encourages him to let go on an acceptable target. Prompts for this fic: Feral (day 9), Lost (day 14), Into the Woods (day 17), Stalk/Hunt (day 26)

Heart thumping as he realized he was properly lost, every logical thought left him. There was no recollection of the conversation he’d had and what he agreed to, no reassuring himself that he’d felt this before if not for such a long period of time, only the vivid, desperate fear of a prey animal as he reached for miracles that were no longer there in his agitation and rising horror. With no mental clarity, he had to choose between blowing miraculous energy he was fairly sure he’d need later on, or sitting and waiting, lost in the woods with only a monster for company, fully at its mercy, and with no idea what was in store.

Sheer panic – and that was what the monster was apparently waiting for.

Something slammed into Crowley’s back, pinning him to the ground with a growl. The wind was entirely knocked out of him and he gasped for air, head going dizzy as the weight atop him refused to move.

Crowley’s tropical greenhouse puts Aziraphale in a bind and promptly puts Crowley in his own when he tries to interfere. Prompt for this fic: Plants/Nature (day 25)

Aziraphale was just standing at the other end of the room, the heart-shaped leaves of the rosary vine hanging from the pot above his head draping over his shoulder. He was a bit closer to the plants than he usually tended to get, but Crowley genuinely didn’t understand why his eyes were screaming, “Help me!”

“I’ve been a little bit… detained,” the angel said, his voice tense. “I was wondering if you might, um, speak to them?” He moved his hand just the slightest bit forward and it was then that Crowley noticed the tendril of a vine hovering over his wrist. Because it was wrapped in a loose circle around said wrist until it stirred, when it tightened fast as lightning and pulled it back to Aziraphale’s side. Looking even more closely, he realized the bleeding heart vine behind him had slithered partially around his ankles and calves; its bright red flowers contrasting against the dark of Aziraphale’s slacks would have had Crowley wishing to see them against his bare skin had it not been for the implications of its current hold.

Crowley has always hated her heats with her shitty partners in the past, but she’s hopeful that it might be different with Aziraphale. Prompt for this fic: A/B/O Dynamics/Breeding (day 20)

There was a reason that she was usually single shortly after her heats. And it was honestly a miracle that now, in her early thirties, after all those tries, she was still trying again.

But despite her history, she had a good feeling about this one.

Aziraphale was like an angel personified. White-blonde curls, chubby pink cheeks, sparkling blue eyes, and a delightfully plump form. She was gorgeous, the kindest and sweetest person she’d ever met, and also kind of a bitch. Which was great, because Crowley was a bitch too and gave back as good as she got, and didn’t feel like she was being actually judged by Ms. Holier-Than-Thou when she got up to a little mischief.

I realized I've mostly been liking and commenting on thoughts about the finale, but not putting my own out there. I'm not exactly anyone big name but I've written enough things that I figured I should probably say something in case I'm out of writing for longer than I'd even originally intended 😅

I am one of the heartbroken contingent, unfortunately. I feel more than a little betrayed and while there were many little bits and themes and dialogues that I loved very, very dearly, I think that the finale went against the majority of themes that had been built up in the last seasons, that it was ill-paced, and that they didn't do what they could have with the time they had. And I think Asa and Anthony are very precious and I'm happy for their ending, but to me, they aren't Aziraphale and Crowley, at least by what the show was trying to show them as.

All that being said, despite being very sad right now and touching my WIPs hurting (they were supposed to be stress relief from a busy work week, but unfortunately now they're also quite stressful), I am not going to stop writing for this fandom! It still means a lot to me and I knew I probably wasn't going to be completely canon compliant anyways because I had already had so many ideas of what their South Downs life would be. Didn't expect that I'd be this divergent, but so be it! I'll pull the few things I liked out and damn the rest, and I hope I come to peace with more of it as time goes on, though I know I will never be able to accept the ending as a true ending. Though that being said, as mentioned before, Asa and Anthony are precious, and they will probably be getting some mentions, as fix-its and as AUs.

I am so happy for those that liked/loved it! I'm not ready to hear your arguments for why it worked for you, but I am genuinely so thrilled for you and I hope that some of that peace comes my way eventually. In the meantime, I hope I can see you on my page regardless for less compliant fics and on other authors who will write beautifully compliant fics and we can all continue to share stories and love for these characters and this show that means so much to us!
